CUET UG 2025 registrations are now open at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can register till March 22, 2025.

  • The exam will be in 13 languages: English, Bengali, Hindi, Kannada, Gujarati, Malayalam, Odia, Tamil, Telegu, Punjabi, Urdu, Assamese, and Marathi.
  • The exam will take place over multiple days ( 2 to 3 shifts per day), depending on the CUET subject combination and the total number of aspirants taking the exams.
  • Candidates are allowed to choose up to 6 subjects for CUET UG 2025 exams.
  • NTA will administer the complete exam in CBT mode.

Candidates aiming for admission to central, state, private, and deemed universities in various UG programs must complete the application process before the deadline. This year, the CUET UG exam pattern has gone through significant changes. From total number of subjects to exam duration, NTA has brought some changes in every aspect.

With the CUET UG 2025 notification officially released, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed the exam dates, which will be from May 8 to June 1, 2025. The detailed exam schedule will be available once registrations close. CUET serves as a gateway to institutions like DU, BHU, JNU, and Jamia Millia Islamia.

Who Can Apply for CUET 2025?

NTA has set some specific eligibility criteria for the CUET 2025 exam Candidates appearing in the test must meet the CUET 2025 eligibility criteria before applying for the test. For details on eligibility criteria candidates can refer to the section below:

  • Students must have passed Class 12 from a recognized board with the relevant stream to be eligible for UG courses in central universities.
  • Class 12 students appearing for board exams in 2025 can also apply for CUET.
  • NTA has not set any specific age limit or CUET UG 2025. However, candidates must meet any age criteria specified by their chosen university or institution.
  • Indian citizens, citizens of Nepal or Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, intending to settle permanently are eligible to apply. Besides that applicants from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire, Vietnam, and Ethiopia, who have migrated to India with the intention of permanent residence can apply for the exam

CUET UG 2025 Application Process: A Step-by-Step Guide

CUET UG 2025 Application process is the initial stage that candidates need to go through before appearing in the exam. The application process for CUET UG is a multi-step process. A step-by-step guide to filling out the application form is mentioned below:

Step 1

  • Visit the CUET official website at cuet.nta.nic.in.
  • Click on the “Register” option to initiate the application process.

Step 2

A page with guidelines and important instructions for filling out the CUET 2025 Application form will appear. Candidates must carefully read all the details and check the box to confirm before proceeding.

Step 3

  • Fill in the registration form with personal details, including full name, date of birth, and gender, contact Details.
  • Next candidates need to set up a password for future logins
  • In the next stage, candidates need to enter the security code and click “Submit & Send OTP” to verify their mobile number and email.

Step 4

  • Before submitting the form candidates must carefully review the entered information before submitting.
  • Once confirmed, the candidate’s CUET 2025 login credentials will be generated.

Step 5

  • Candidates need to use their Application Number and Password to log into the CUET portal.
  • Enter the Captcha code and proceed to the application form.

Step 6

Complete the application form by entering personal and identity details, educational qualifications, exam and subject choices, emergency contact details, etc. 

Step 7

  • Next candidates need to upload the required documents following the guidelines
  • Click the “View” option to check the uploaded files.

Step 8

Choose a suitable payment method (Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI) to pay the application fee to conclude the process.

  • After successful payment, the completed CUET 2025 application form will be displayed.
  • Download and print the form for future reference.

  • Class 10 & 12 mark sheets for academic verification
  • Scanned signature in the prescribed format
  • Valid photo ID proof (Aadhar card, driving license, etc.)

CUET 2025 Preparation Tips: How to Crack the Exam with Ease

Build a Strong Study Routine

  • Start your day early and follow a disciplined schedule.
  • Allocate dedicated time slots for each subject based on your strengths and weaknesses.
  • Including regular breaks is important for preparation to maintain focus.
  • Aim to study daily, even if it’s for 30 minutes in the beginning.

Understand the Exam Pattern & Syllabus

  • Download the official CUET syllabus and exam pattern from cuet.smarath.ac.in.
  • CUET Exam Pattern has gone through changes so candidates need to go through the detailed exam pattern and syllabus.

Focus on Fundamentals

  • Build a strong conceptual foundation in each subject—this makes advanced topics easier to grasp.
  • Use NCERT textbooks for domain subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Math, etc.).
  • For English and the General Test (GT) rely on the expert recommended books.

Consistency in Practice

  • Solve previous years’ question papers (PYQs) and mock tests regularly.

CUET 2025 Admit Card

CUET 2025 Admit Card will be released 2 to 3 days before the exam. Once the hall ticket is out candidates can access the admit card at cuet.nta.nic.in. Before the admit card, candidates will be issued a city intimation slip. Admit cards will be issued in PDF format. Till the exam date, candidates can download the admit card.

CUET UG 2025 Results

The exam authority has not released the detailed exam schedule yet. With the details exam schedule, NTA will mention the result declaration date as well. The tentative date of the CUET UG 2025 result is July last week. To access the result candidates have to provide their application number & DOB.

CUET UG 2025 Counselling

Each participating institute will hold CUET 2025 counseling separately. The counseling will begin after the CUET UG 2025 results are announced. Each institute will release admission application forms, along with cutoff marks or merit lists of candidates who have qualified for the exam.
