Candidates who want to give the XAT exam can register through the official website by following the steps given below:
- The candidate should visit the official website, xatonline.in.
- Now, the candidate should click on the ‘XAT 2026 Registration’ link.
- Click on ‘New Registration’.
- Then, the candidate must enter all the required information.
- Go back to the homepage, and then again using the new credentials.
- The XAT registration form will be displayed on the screen.
- The candidate must enter all personal, academic details and upload a passport-size photograph and a scanned copy of their signature.
- Then, the candidate has to select exam cities and further proceed with the examination fee.
- Submit and save the confirmation slip for future reference.

XAT 2026 Marking Scheme
The exam is going to follow the marking scheme, which is given below, while evaluating the results:
- For each correct answer, a +1 mark will be awarded.
- For each incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
- In the General Knowledge Section, no negative marking for incorrect answers. As this section will not be considered while evaluating the XAT percentile.
- If the candidate has left 8 consecutive questions unanswered, then 0.10 marks will be deducted.
