AIIMS Rishikesh, officially called the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Rishikesh, was founded in 2012. It is one of seven AIIMS campuses that the Indian government established as part of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). The Indian Societies Registration Act has registered it as an independent institution.
