The Chennai Institute of Technology comes under the Parthasarathy Seeniammal Educational Trust feels Conceited to provide merit scholarships to the students, through their course of study to support their education, based on the below mentioned criteria

1. Students who have completed their high school education with an aggregate mark in mathematics, chemistry and physics will be considered eligible to acquire the merit scholarship. 
2. CITSET-CIT scholarship test mark and high school education mark will be given equal weightage for the scholarship process. 
3. Aggregate mark accounting to 190 and above are eligible to get full tuition fee waiver and students who have got an aggregate mark between 185 and 189 are eligible to get 50% tuition fee waiver.
4. Students who are single parented, underprivileged backgrounds possessing a very low income regardless of their aggregate marks.
5. In all the above 10% relaxation in aggregate marks is given to girls’ students. 

Institutions follows the procedure detailed below to award merit scholarships:

1. The students who are eligible to avail scholarships have to fill an application form and the same has to be submitted to the administrative office. 
2. The scholarship committee will verify the authenticity of the certificates through a transparent approach and subsequently recommend the students to the trust for providing the eligible scholarship. 
3. A certificate denoting their scholarship value throughout their course of study will be provided to the availed students.
