Government Polytechnic College (GPC), Lohaghat, Uttarakhand, is a public technical institution established in 1975. GPC Lohaghat is affiliated with the Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education (UBTER), Roorkee.

Eligibility Criteria

  • For the diploma engineering courses, candidates need to have passed their class 10th from a recognised board with English, Mathematics and Science as mandatory subjects.
  • For the Diploma in Pharmacy, candidates should have completed class 12th with Physics, Chemistry and either Mathematics or Biology and must be at least 17 years old by 31th December of the admission year, as per the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) guidelines.
  • There is no age limit for other courses.
  • For Diploma in Modern Office Management and Secretarial Practice, class 12th eligibility applies.

The application procedure involves the following steps:

  • Candidates need to purchase the JEEP application form from designated distribution centers in the months of January and February, or apply online (if UBTER facilitates an online process for the specific year).
  • Complete and submit the filled application form to the Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education or any Government Polytechnic college within Uttarakhand.
  • Candidates will then receive an entry card for the JEEP entrance exam by mail, it can also be downloaded from the UBTER website
  • The UBTER conducts the JEEP usually in May. The results will be available on the UBTER website
  • Based on the JEEP rank, shortlisted candidates will be called to attend the counseling session.
