The MBA (IB) program is the flagship program of IIFT Delhi, which has been running since 1963. The program is one of the country's most popular and competitive programs, with a selection ratio of less than 1%. The MBA (BA) program is a new program launched by IIFT Delhi in the academic year 2023-24. The program is designed to equip the students with the skills and tools to analyse, interpret, and leverage data for business decision-making.
Both the programs, MBA (IB) & (BA), admit students through the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). This is the first time IIFT will accept CAT scores, so the cutoffs are unknown but expected to lie in the 97 percentile. The shortlisted candidates for both programs are further evaluated based on group discussion, extempore, writing skills assessment, and personal interviews.

The final placements for the MBA (IB) batch of 2021-23 were completed in February 2023, with a 16% increase in the average salary, which went up to Rs.29.10 LPA from Rs.25.16 LPA last year. The highest salary offered was Rs.85.4 LPA, while the median salary was Rs.26.5 LPA1. The batch size was 233 students. The placement process witnessed the participation of 125 companies, out of which 42 were new recruiters.
