Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT B-2025)

Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B) is an all-India entrance examination to test the eligibility of a bona fide candidate for admission to a DBT-supported postgraduate program in Biotechnology, all allied areas, at participating institutions/universities in India.

DBT-supported postgraduate programs include MSc (biotechnology and allied areas), M.Tech Biotechnology and allied areas, MSc Agriculture Biotechnology, and MVSc Animal Biotechnology.

Only bona fide Indian nationals are eligible to apply for GAT B 2025; candidates should meet the minimum eligibility criteria of participating institutions/universities. The exam will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode with a duration of 3 hours.

GAT B 2025 Exam Pattern

Marking Scheme

1. Each question carries 1 mark in section A, and in section B, one question carries 3 marks.
2. For each incorrect answer, there will be a 1/2 mark deducted in section A, and in section B, 1 mark will be deducted.
3. No marks will be given for unanswered or unattempted questions.
4. In case a question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to the candidate irrespective of whether he has attempted it or not.

GAT B 2025 Admit Card

To download the admit card, candidates should have to enter their registered email ID and password that was generated during the registration process. Candidates have to carry a print copy of the hall ticket along with two passport-size recent color photographs at the exam center on the day of the exam.
