Those candidates who will plan to appear in the GRE 2025 exam, must check all the necessary educational [prerequisites for the exam. GRE is primarily used to take admission in Master’s degree outside of India, of which candidates must have undergraduate degree in the relevant field of study.
GRE Exam Age requirements
There is no age limit set by ETS for the GRE exam. Universities and Colleges abroad do not have upper age requirements to pursue education.
GRE Exam Qualification Requirements
There is no mandatory qualification required to appear for the GRE exam. The GRE assessment test is required for admission to undergraduate courses, for graduate courses, candidates are expected to have successfully completed their undergraduate programme. The GRE score is part of the application process.
GRE Exam ID requirements
GRE required to have valid Indian Passports with candidates name, photograph and signature as candidates primary ID. If the candidates are testing without their country of citizenship they must have, passport with name, photograph and signature, and for testing outside their country of citizenship, candidates must present a valid passport with their name, photograph and signature as candidates primary ID.
GRE Exam Re-attempts
As per ETS official website, Candidates can take the GRE General Test once every 21 days, up to five times within any continuous rolling 12 months. After selecting a test date, make sure the candidate will be reported in time for their application deadlines.
On Test day Requirements
- Testing in a test centre : valid and acceptable information including, passport, driver’s license, state or province ID card, National ID card.
- Testing at Home : valid and acceptable information, a mirror or mobile phone, to shoe the proctor your screen during check in, and note taking materials, which can be: a white board with an erasable marker or one blank piece of paper inside a transparent sheet protector with an erasable marker.
Identification (ID) verification: ID verification during check-in may include;
- Biometric voice and photo identification
- fingerprinting/ thumbprinting
- Videotaping
- Signature comparison
