MP BE Counselling 2025: Eligibility, Merit List, Choice Filling, Seat Allotment, Admission Process

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh will conduct the state-level MP BE counselling for admission to BE/BTech courses in the Government / Autonomous / Aided / Self-Financing / Private Institutions located in Madhya Pradesh. The MP BE counselling 2025 will be held online and will start in June 2025. Candidates can participate in the MP BE counselling process if and only if they have a valid score of NTA JEE Main 2025. The candidates who have valid JEE Main scores have to complete MP BE counselling registration first. MP BE counselling 2025 will have two rounds based on JEE Mains 2025 scores. Seat allotment in rounds 1 and 2 is based on JEE Mains score only. If any seat remains vacant after the completion of counselling, those seats will be filled based on the 10+2 scores of the candidates.

The MP BE 2025 counselling process includes registration, filling of choices, drawing of merit list based on JEE Main marks, seat allotment result announcement, downloading the allotment order and reporting to the allotted institute for admission. MP BE counselling is usually completed in two rounds. 

What is MP BE Counselling?

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh conducts MP BE Counselling to various participating institutes offering undergraduate engineering courses in the state. Admission is offered in the first year of BE/BTech course in the Government / Autonomous / Aided / Self-Financing / Private Institutions located in Madhya Pradesh. The candidates are offered admission to various participating colleges of MP BE based on JEE Main and qualifying examination (class 10+2). Candidates need to fill in their choices of branches and colleges during the counselling. DTE prepares a merit list for the candidates and based on the MP BE merit list, candidates are allotted seats.

MP BE Counselling Registration 2025

All the candidates participating in the MP BE counselling process have to register only once for counselling. MP BE counselling registration is free (except for NRI, IPS, PIO/FN/CIWGC and CLC). Candidates will not be required to re-register to participate in the subsequent stages of counselling. Registration facility is not available based on any entrance examination/qualifying examination. Only JEE Main candidates can register for MP BE 2025 counselling.

The steps for MP BE 2025 counselling registration are given below:

• Register with JEE Main roll number: Candidates seeking admission have to register using the roll number allotted in the JEE Main 2025 examination. On registering with roll number, the data provided by NTA, such as the name of the candidate, father/mother's name, date of birth, etc., will automatically be displayed on the registration screen, the remaining required information can be filled in by the candidate. Candidates have to enter them manually, the information entered must be as per the documents
• Online e-Verification: The details provided in the registration process will be verified. If all details are found correct, candidates will receive the registration cum e-verification slip. Candidates can get the status of their verification from the "Check Candidate Status" link.
• Password generation: As soon as the registration process and the e-verification are complete, a temporary password will be received on the given mobile number, which should be changed at the time of choice filling, keep it safe and do not tell it to anyone.

MP BE Counselling Process 2025

The MP BE counselling process 2025 includes the following steps:

• Registration: MP BE Counselling application forms will be available online. Candidates have to register online on the official website.
• Choice filling: Candidates have to login into the next step, and fill in their choices of colleges and courses.
• Declaration of Merit list: After filling in the preferences, the authority will release a merit list of MP BE Counsellings 2025 for all categories. The candidates will be shortlisted based on fulfilling the eligibility and availability of seats in the colleges/institutes of Madhya Pradesh.
• Issuance of seat allotment result and letter: Issuance of seat allotment letter for general pool and TFW categories is done after the declaration of the merit list. The application process starts for the first seat up-gradation.
• Verification of documents: After the issuance of the seat allotment letter, verification of documents will be conducted by the authority.
• Reporting to the allotted institute: After verification, candidates have to report to the allotted institute for final admission.

MP BE Counselling Choice Filling 2025

After receiving the registration cum e-verification slip, the candidates can select their choice of courses and institutions in order of preference. The MP BE choice filling must be completed as per the schedule released. The choice must be finalised and locked by the candidates before the deadline. To submit the choices, candidates have to submit the prescribed fee. This fee includes the counselling fee, partial tuition fee, and portal fee.

Candidates can select all the available institutions/courses online in order of priority. Candidates are advised to select as many preferences as possible. Candidates can change the priority order selected any number of times before paying the prescribed fee.

MP BE Counselling 2025 Seat Allotment and Upgradation of Allotted Seat

MP BE counselling seat allotment order is issued as per the merit of the candidates in the merit list. The facility of upgradation in the first phase of counselling is also available. Candidates who are interested in upgradation in the first phase of counselling have to submit the option of online upgradation. In upgrading, the candidates will get the opportunity for allotment in the order of priority of higher priority than the institution/course allotted to them from among the institutions/courses selected by them. If the candidate allotted to the institution/branch is willing to choose the option of upgradation, then they will have to pay an additional partial tuition fee and portal fee as per the upgrade. In case of non-payment of fees, upgradation will be cancelled.

On upgradation, the previous allotment will automatically be cancelled for the candidates who have submitted their option for upgradation online and the candidate will have to obtain a new allotment letter. If the candidate is satisfied with the allotment then they will have to report to the new allotted institution as shown in the allotment printout by the last date and get the status. If the candidate does not take admission, they will be out of this stage.

In case of non-upgradation, the candidate will have to obtain a new allotment letter from the previously allotted institution and appear in the allotted institution by the last date shown in it, otherwise, the allotment of the candidate will be automatically cancelled.

Candidates who have got the first choice in the institution priority selection list will not naturally get the facility of upgradation. In case the candidate gets admission to the upgraded institution, the annual tuition fee charged for online counselling will be transferred to the admitted institution. The candidate must get the adjustment made in the tuition fee deposited in the institution.

Final admission: Candidates will have to get all the information verified based on their original documents in the allotted institution by appearing in person on the scheduled dates. After the verification, they will have to deposit the prescribed educational fee in the institution.
