UCEED Registration 2027

UCEED Registration 2027 started on October 1, 2026, at 1 PM. Candidates can submit the application online through the IIT Bombay UCEED registration portal. The regular application window closes on October 31, followed by late registration until November 6.

Enter the details requested in each section of the application form. IIT Bombay requires candidates to provide correct qualifying examination and category information and upload valid documents in the prescribed format.

Note: The 2026 registration fee for Indian nationals was INR 2,000 for female candidates and SC/ST/PwD candidates and INR 4,000 for other candidates. Candidates can complete the application form online. The form requires personal details, qualifying examination information, category details, examination city preferences, document uploads and fee payment.

UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2027

The UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2027 cover age, attempts and the year of first appearance in Class XII. The latest published rules allow students from Science, Commerce and Arts & Humanities to appear for the exam.

UCEED Exam Pattern 2027

The UCEED Exam Pattern 2027 is built around Part A and Part B. Part A is computer-based and contains NAT, MSQ and MCQ questions. Part B is conducted offline and tests drawing and design aptitude.

The latest available pattern uses a three-hour paper carrying 300 marks. Part A carries 200 marks and Part B carries 100 marks.

Note: The current 2027 pattern reference has 14 NAT questions, 15 MSQs and 28 MCQs in Part A, followed by one sketching question and one design aptitude question in Part B. The exact pattern will be governed by the UCEED 2027 information brochure.

UCEED Syllabus 2027

The UCEED Syllabus 2027 covers visualisation, spatial reasoning, observation, design sensitivity, analytical reasoning, language, creativity and practical knowledge. It does not follow the structure of a single school subject.

Part B places greater emphasis on drawing and design aptitude. Candidates preparing through the UCEED Syllabus page should cover both objective reasoning and visual communication rather than treating drawing as the only preparation area.

Important: These areas follow the latest published UCEED syllabus. Candidates should compare them with the official 2027 syllabus once IIT Bombay releases the detailed information brochure.

UCEED Result 2027

The UCEED Result 2027 is expected in March 2027. In 2026, IIT Bombay declared the result on March 6 and opened scorecard downloads from March 10. The scorecard remained available until July 31, 2026.

The result provides the candidate's UCEED performance and All India Rank. A rank in UCEED does not by itself complete the B.Des admission process. Candidates must submit the separate B.Des application and participate in seat allocation.

UCEED Counselling 2027

The UCEED Counselling 2027 process starts after the UCEED result and requires a separate B.Des admission application. Candidates who obtain a valid UCEED rank must submit their institute preferences through the joint admission process conducted by IIT Bombay.

In 2026, the B.Des application window ran from March 14 to April 10. Five seat allotment rounds were conducted from April to July. Seat allocation was based on UCEED All India Rank, category and institute preferences.

UCEED Cutoff 2027

The UCEED Cutoff 2027 has two separate aspects. The first is the Part A qualifying cutoff announced by IIT Bombay. The second is the institute-wise admission cutoff reflected through opening and closing ranks during seat allotment.

For UCEED 2026, the Part A mean was 70.86 and the standard deviation was 25.77. The final 2027 Part A cutoff will be calculated from the performance of candidates in the 2027 examination.

Note: The 2026 Part A mean and standard deviation are reference figures, not the UCEED Cutoff 2027. Current UCEED 2027 schedule information places the Part A cutoff announcement in the first week of February 2027.

UCEED Seat Allotment Process 2027

The seat allotment process uses the candidate's UCEED rank, category and institute preferences. Candidates who receive an allotment must follow the payment and acceptance instructions within the specified deadline.

Important: IIT Bombay conducted five seat allotment rounds in the 2026 admission cycle. The 2027 counselling schedule may follow a similar structure, but candidates should follow the dates published for the new cycle.

UCEED BDes Seat Matrix 2027

The UCEED BDes Seat Matrix 2027 will be relevant when candidates submit B.Des institute preferences. For reference, the seven participating institutes offered 245 seats in the 2026-27 admission cycle.
