Anna University, the conducting authority for TANCET 2025, has published the TANCET exam pattern in the information brochure. Since the TANCET pattern for MBA is different from that of MCA/ME/MTech/MPlan and MArch, Anna University has renamed the Engineering test as CEETA PG. Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test is an annual test for MBA and MCA courses. The exam pattern for TANCET MBA 2025 is the same as the previous session. Anna University shall conduct TANCET 2025 in the pen-and-pencil (offline mode). Read on for more information on the TANCET exam pattern for 2025.

TANCET 2025 Exam Pattern 

The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test, or TANCET, 2025 MBA exam pattern mentions five parts in the question paper: Analysis of Business Situations, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Data Sufficiency, and English Usage. Each section will have 20 questions. Candidates need to answer all the questions in two hours. The following table shows the TANCET 2025 exam pattern for MBA and MCA courses offered by TANCET participating institutes:

TANCET 2025 Exam Pattern Section-Wise 

The TANCET MBA 2025 exam pattern consists of five different types of sections. Business Situations evaluate the candidate's decision-making ability through data analysis. Reading Comprehension tests the reading ability and how the candidate answers questions on texts in English. Quantitative Ability evaluates the ability of the candidate in solving mathematical problems. Data Sufficiency tests the ability of the candidate to interpret data and understand the principles of mathematics. Finally, English Usage tests the understanding of grammar, punctuation, and overall application of language. The TANCET MCA exam 2025 pattern includes four different sections. The mathematical skills are to be tested for the Quantitative Ability section; however, data analysis and discovering patterns to establish conclusions is evaluated in the Analytical Reasoning section. This section tests for problem-solving skill through logical principle application in Logical Reasoning and evaluates the comprehension of basic computer concepts through the Computer Awareness section.
