WBJEE 2025 Result: Check Dates, Steps to Download Rank Card

WBJEE 2025 result date is yet to be announced by the authorities. Candidates will be able to access the WBJEE result 2025 online at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. The authorities will use no other mode to declare the WBJEE result. The scores and ranks obtained in the entrance examination will be available through the result of WBJEE 2025. Candidates will be able to download the result in the form of a WBJEE 2025 rank card. In case of any mistakes in the WBJEE result 2025, the candidates are advised to immediately contact the authorities to make the necessary corrections. Along with the result, the authorities will also announce the WBJEE 2025 toppers. Qualified candidates will be able to participate in the WBJEE 2025 counselling process. Based on the candidate's performance in the WBJEE 2025 exam, they will be allotted to the participating institutes of the state. 

How to download WBJEE 2025 results?

WBJEE 2025 result will be released online at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee in the form of a rank card. The given steps can be followed to check the result/rank card of WBJEE 2025.

• Click on the result link.
• Candidates will have to provide their WBJEE 2025 application form number and date of birth.
• Click on 'Sign In'
• The result will be displayed on the screen.
• Candidates will be able to download the result in the form of the WBJEE 2025 rank card.
• A printout of the rank card has to be taken for future use.

Candidates will be able to download the result in the form of a WBJEE 2025 rank card. The following information will be available in the WBJEE 2025 result/rank card.

• WBJEE 2025 Application Number
• Date of Birth

• Composite Marks in Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics & Chemistry)
• GMR (General Merit Rank)/PMR (Pharmacy Merit Rank)
• Qualifying Status
• Photograph

Before downloading the rank card of WBJEE 2025, the candidates are advised to check the present details. In case of any mistakes, the candidates are advised to immediately contact the authorities. However, no requests to review the obtained scores and ranks will be accepted.

WBJEE 2025 Merit List

WBJEEB will prepare two separate merit lists based on the papers (subjects) for which the candidates appeared in WBJEE 2025 and the marks scored by them. Further details are mentioned below:

WBJEE General Merit List (GMR)

• This particular list will be in the name and style of ‘GMR’ applicable for admission to all the Degree Level Engineering / Technology / Architecture Courses available in all enlisted Engineering / Technology Colleges and Universities within the state of West Bengal.
• The above list will also be considered valid for admission to the degree-level Pharmacy course available at Jadavpur University.
• The list will be prepared based on the candidate’s scores obtained in all the subjects (i.e. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) in WBJEE 2025.
• Ranking in the GMR WBJEE merit list will be prepared in descending order of total marks scored in all the subjects as stated above. However, there may also be ties; in such cases, the tie-breaking rule shall be applicable for determining the merit rank.
• Separate reserved category merit positions will also be indicated for the respective category of students. For instance, SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A-Rank, OBC-B Rank, PwD Rank, TFW Rank. But ‘GMR’ shall be applicable for competitive seat allotment and counselling.

WBJEE Pharmacy Merit List (PMR)

• This list will be prepared in the name of ‘PMR’, which will be applicable for admission to all degree-level Pharmacy Courses available in all enlisted Pharmacy Colleges and Universities, except the degree-level pharmacy course available at Jadavpur University. The merit list GMR will be applicable for admission to the degree-level Pharmacy Course at Jadavpur University.
• The above list shall be prepared based on the score of candidates who have appeared in the combined paper of Physics & Chemistry only in the WBJEE 2025.
• Ranking of this merit list will be done in descending order of total marks scored in Physics and Chemistry in the WBJEE 2025. However, there may also be ties; in such cases, the tie-breaking rule shall be applicable in determining the merit rank.
• A separate reserved category merit list will also be published for the respective category of students. For instance, SC Rank, ST Rank, OBC-A Rank, OBC-B Rank, PwD Rank, TFW Rank. But the ‘PMR’ shall be applicable for competitive seat allotment and counselling.

There are three separate merit lists for the WBJEE exam for engineering medical and pharmacy entrance exams. The rule does not apply to Jadavpur University.

Candidates with their names present on the merit list will be eligible for the WBJEE 2025 counselling and seat allotment process. Candidates will have to register for the counselling and fill out their preferred choice of college and course.

WBJEE 2025 Marks vs Ranks

WBJEE marks vs. ranks will let the candidates understand their probable secured ranks based on their scores obtained in the entrance examination. By referring to the previous year's WBJEE cutoff ranks, the candidates can calculate the probable ranks they might obtain based on their scores secured in the WBJEE 2025 exam. By knowing their WBJEE ranks beforehand, the candidates will be well prepared for the counselling process and accordingly select their choice of colleges and courses.

Tie-Breaking Method for WBJEE Result 2025

There may be cases when two or more candidates secure the same rank in WBJEE 2025. In such cases, the authorities will follow the listed WBJEE 2025 tie-breaking guidelines. The guidelines will be followed in the listed order.

• Candidates with lesser collective negative marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry will be given a higher rank.
• If the tie still exists, the candidate with more collective positive marks in Mathematics and Physics will be ranked higher.
• If the tie is still not broken, then the candidate with more collective positive marks in Mathematics and Chemistry will be ranked higher.
• If the tie persists, the candidate with lesser collective negative marks in Mathematics and Physics will be allotted a higher rank.
• If the tie has not been broken, the candidate with lesser collective negative marks in Mathematics and Chemistry will be given a higher rank.
• If the tie still exists, then the candidate with more positive marks in Mathematics for only the 2 marks questions will be ranked higher.
• If the tie is yet present, the candidate with more positive marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions will be given a higher rank.
• If the tie is ongoing, the candidate with more positive marks in Chemistry for only the 2-mark questions will be allotted a higher rank.
• If the tie persists, the candidate with fewer negative marks in Mathematics for only the 2-mark questions will be ranked higher.
• If the tie still exists, the candidate with lesser negative marks in Physics for only the 2-mark questions will be given a higher rank.
• If the tie persists, the candidate with fewer negative marks in Chemistry for only the 2-mark questions will be allotted a higher rank.
• If in case a tie still exists after the application of the above tie-breaking rules, the candidate's date of birth will be taken into consideration. In such cases, the older candidate is considered for admission.
