Alagappa University: Scholarships 2025 – Eligibility, Application & Amount

The University provides has variety of Scholarship Programs for its students under different categories financed by Government agencies. The Scholarship awarded is based on merit and need. Below are the details of a few popular scholarships: 

SC/ ST Scholarship

Eligibility: 

1. Applicants who want to apply for the scholarship should be residents of Tamil Nadu.
2. They should belong to Schedule Tribe and Caste. 
3. The Annual Family Income should be less than 2.5 lakh from all the sources. 
4. Applicants should have Passed their previous exam with a minimum of 50%. 
5. Applicants should be enrolled in Alagappa University.

BC/ MBC/ DNC Scholarship 

These Scholarships are sanctioned to the Alagappa University Students belonging to BC/MBC/DNC communities who are pursuing UG/PG Courses. The scholarship amount will be reimbursed to the student every year for the entire duration of their UG/PG Courses. The reimbursement will cover the Tuition Fee, Special Fee, Exam Fee, and other compulsory fees as prescribed by the Institution or Rs. 2.00 lakh per year whichever is lesser. If more applications are received, eligible students will be shortlisted as per the marks secured by them plus two public exams.

Eligibility:

1. The Applicant should belong to Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, or Denotified Communities.
2. They should be a resident of Tamil Nadu.
3. The student should be pursuing UG/PG courses.
4. The annual family income should not exceed Rs.2.50 Lakh.

1. Recent Passport size photograph
2. Residential Certificate
3. Income Certificate
4. Domicile Certificate
5. Bank Passbook
6. Previous year's Mark sheets
