BMU-Merit Scholarships

BMU offers merit scholarships for students enrolling in B.Tech, BBA, MBA, Law, B.Com (Hons), and B.A (Hons) programs. Two categories of scholarships are available, the Dean's Scholarship, and the Programme Scholarship, depending on the student's academic scores. Below are the detailed descriptions of the merit scholarships:

 

BMU-Haryana Domicile Scholarship

The Haryana Domicile Scholarship is provided to eligible Haryana residents on a merit-cum-means basis. 25% of students admitted under the Haryana Domicile Category can apply for complete or partial fee waivers. The submission of the Domicile certificate during admission is required.

 

BMU-Defence Ward Scholarship

This scholarship is specifically extended to children of serving and retired personnel of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. Two family members, including lateral and migrated candidates, can avail of this scholarship. Documents like Service Certificate, PPO/Discharge Certificate, Death Certificate, and Certificate of Gallantry (if applicable) are required for application.

 

BMU-Additional Scholarships

BMU also offers unique scholarships, such as the Ishan Uday Scholarship (by the UGC for North Eastern Region), scholarships by the MHRD, Hero Group Employees Ward's Scholarship, Sports Scholarship, and the Early Cycle Scholarship. Students can also apply for various Central & State Government Scheme/Scholarships on their respective portals independently.

 

BMU-Reservations

As per the UGC and MHRD guidelines, seats are reserved for students from Jammu & Kashmir and the North East Region. This extends the university's commitment to inclusivity and diversity.
