The admission procedure at Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore, starts in May and goes on until August. The institute provides MSc, Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D., Ph.D., and a special Flour Milling course. Admission to the M.Sc. program is through an entrance exam held by the university, whereas the Integrated M.Sc. Ph.D. and Ph.D. programs need candidates to clear an entrance exam as well as an interview. For the Flour Milling program, admission is on merit, and in certain instances, an aptitude test is necessary. CFTRI Mysore M.Sc and Integrated M.Sc-Ph.D. Admission 2025

CFTRI provides Msc in the specialty of Food Technology. Relaxation of 5% in total marks is granted to SC and ST category candidates. CFTRI Entrance Examination is held in the notified places. 50% preference of each is offered to the entrance test and the marks of qualifying examination at the time of selection in M.Sc. CFTRI Mysore PhD Admission 2025

The institute provides Ph.D. programs in the field of Science and Engineering. Ph.D. in Science is available in 8 specializations. Aspirants whose final results are pending can also submit their applications for the Ph.D. courses. If appointed, they will be provided with provisional admission.

Applicants should also have a national level fellowship JRF/SRF of different funding agencies, such as CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST etc.), INSPIRE or equivalent fellowships. The eligibility and selection criteria of CFTRI PhD programs is given below in tabular form:

CFTRI Mysore Flour Milling Technology Course Admission 2025

CFTRI provides a Flour Milling course for 1 year duration. The prospectus and application form must be requested by post. After the NEFT payment is made, the candidates can send the institute with payment details and get the application form. Final year examination appearing candidates can also apply. Preference could be given to experience in flour milling/ sponsorship by the flour milling industry for limited seats. The eligibility criteria and selection process for the program is as follows:

Online Application:

  • Visit the official website of the university.
  • You can find the Announcement section on the webpage.
  • Click on ‘View All’.
  • You will find the Admission link of the courses in which Admissions are open. click on the link.
  • You will be directed to a Registration Page.
  • Click on Sign Up and register yourself by providing valid details.
  • Now Login using Username and Password set while Registering.
  • Now fil out the Application form carefully.
  • Upload all the required documents and Pay the Application Fee. A non-refundable Application Fee of Rs. 1000/- (inclusive of GST @ 18%) by SC/ST/PwD candidates and Rs. 2000/- (inclusive of GST @ 18%) by other candidates may be deposited through SBI COLLECT and copy of e-receipt of the same must be uploaded with the application.
  • Submit the Application and take the printout of the Application.

Candidates can visit the official website, download the Application form of the Program and then submit the fully filled Application form along with Application fee at CFTRI campus Admission office.
