The Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology also known as CEPT University, founded in 1962 by Ahmedabad Education Society founded with support from the Gujarati and Indian governments. The All India Council for Technological Education (AICTE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) have both given their approval to the university. Additionally, the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research recognises CEPT as the Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation. The Council of Architecture (COA) has granted the University its accreditation. In the category of architecture, CEPT University is ranked sixth by NIRF 2024. The Government of India has also designated the university as the Centre of Excellence in Urban Planning and Design.

Also, the Indian Government’s Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) recognized the University as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO). The University has several study centers in several areas. The University offers programs like UG, PG, and PhD. This University offers different courses, including BTech Hons, BArch, BUD, BDes, MTech, MDes, MUP, MUH, MUD, MArch, MUM, etc., in various levels and Departments. Every year, it offers around 1100+ seats for eligible students. The College provides Facilities like an Auditorium, Classrooms, Hostels, Canteens/ Cafeterias, Labs for every department, a Gym, a sports complex, a library full of available books and many others.

• Visit the Official Website at https://cept.ac.in/ , go to the admissions tab press ‘Apply’ tab.
• Enter the personal details like name, address and marks obtained etc followed by selection of the program and exam city.
• After Filling the application form, submit the required documents like Scanned Passphoto, Signature, Marksheets etc.
• Candidates are requested to appear for valid entrance tests for eligibility.
• Application fee is around 1500/- INR for General and 1000/- INR for Reservation Category students.
• Print/ Download the application form for future use.

CEPT University Scholarships 2025

CEPT University Scholarships are the only way that provides financial aid to students. Pre-admission and post-admission scholarships are the two types of scholarships available. The chosen students from among the qualified applications will receive the Pre Admission Scholarship (based on merit). Students who fulfil the eligibility requirements are eligible to apply for the Pre Admissions Scholarship (Means based). Applicants for the Pre Admission Scholarship must have a family income of less than INR 10 lakh annually. As long as the recipients maintain the results specified in the scholarship award letter, they will continue to earn the scholarship for the whole program. 

• The only way to apply for pre-admission scholarships (Means) is to complete the online scholarship application on the official website in addition to the admissions application.
• Only after completing the admissions application will candidates be allowed to access the online scholarship form.
• Regardless of how many programs they want to apply to, the candidate just needs to complete the online scholarship form once.

• Hostel: The University provides hostels for boys and girls separately with various facilities(for students who want to stay at the hostels). Its facilities in hostels include well maintained rooms and bathrooms, 24/7 WIFI, chairs, tables, TV and others etc. Its cost is around 20,000 Indian rupees per annum.
• Library: Fifty thousand materials, such as books, periodicals, student reports, and theses CDs, DVDs, and slides are examples of audio-visual resources.
