COEP Pune Admission is based on merit in the national and state-level entrance examinations. However, the university also offers merit-based admission to some courses like PG Diploma. COEP Pune offers B.Tech, B.Tech (Lateral), M.Tech, M.Plan, MBA, PG Diploma and Ph.D. courses.
COEP B.Tech admission is based on the MHT CET and JEE Main scores. COEP admission 2025 will begin after a candidate has fulfilled all the eligibility requirements set by the institute and has qualified for the MHT CET or JEE Main exam. Counselling Procedure: For the COEP admission 2025, candidates will have to register for the CAP counselling by filling out the application form having preferences of Courses and Institutions prior to respective CAP Rounds. A total of 3 CAP rounds are released for both the HS and AI candidates.
The seats available for Round 1 will be displayed on the official website. If the candidates have been allotted seats as per their preference and do not wish to participate in further CAP rounds, they must freeze the allotted seats. Students shall report to any ARC for document verification and payment of seat acceptance fees. To complete the admission process, candidates will have to report to the allotted institute and confirm their admission.
Allocation of Seats: COEP offers admission to its BTech program through the CAP counselling based on their MHT CET and JEE Main exam scores. Nearly 80% of seats are allocated to the Maharashtra domicile candidates and the other 20% seats are reserved for the AI candidates. The seats that are allocated to the students are completely based on their scores obtained in the respective entrance exams.
Payment of Fees and Confirmation: After the students are allocated seats, they must confirm their seats by paying seat acceptance fees within a specified time period. The seat acceptance fee for all candidates is INR 1,000 and it should be paid through online mode only.

COEP accepts national-level entrance examination scores to allow candidates for its BTech admission. Candidates can get admission to COEP BTech through JEE Main. The institute reserves 15% of seats in the All India quota for admission through JEE Main.
COEP accepts JEE Main and MHT CET scores for its BTech admission. Students who score above the 90 percentile are likely to get admission to COEP. For the year 2023, the cutoff for Computer Science and Information Technology went up to 99.92 percentile in Round 1 for the general category.
In order to be considered for admission to the COEP BTech program, candidates must have completed Higher Secondary with at least 45% of the possible points in required areas including math, physics, and chemistry (or 40% if they fall into the SC/ST group).
Applications for lateral admission are accepted by COEP based on the results of the MHT CET or JEE Main exams. Students must have completed their two- or three-year diploma program with a minimum grade of 45% (or 40% for Reserved category). Additionally, students can enroll for the COEP BTech (Lateral) program if they have a Bachelor of Science degree from an Association of Indian Universities or University Grants Commission (UGC)-recognized university with at least 45% of the possible points and a high school diploma in mathematics as a required subject.
Seats in COEP's BTech (Lateral) program will be distributed to applicants using the CAP counseling approach. On the official website, students will need to register online. Additionally, there will be a non-refundable charge of INR 800 for the reserved category and INR 1000 for the open category. Following the announcement of each CAP round, seats will be assigned. Students must show up at the institute and pay the seat acceptance fee in order to be admitted.
COEP MBA admission is based on the national-level entrance exam scores. Candidates who belong to the Maharashtra region have to appear for the MAH CET exam conducted by the Maharashtra Government. Candidates from other regions (outside Maharashtra) can appear for any of the following entrance exams: MAH CET/CAT//CMAT/XAT or GMAT.
COEP offers an MBA course for a duration of 2 years which is divided into 4 semesters. The first-year fees charged by the institute for its MBA program is INR 2.08 Lakhs. The MBA fee structure of COEP consists of tuition fees and other fees.
