DAV University, Jalandhar, Punjab – Scholarship Schemes for 2024-25
DAV University has been offering a comprehensive scholarship scheme to students from various backgrounds so that they can assume their academic excellence and promote student admissions through several categories of more underprivileged and merit-based admission. The scheme for the same scholarship for 2024-25 has been as follows:.
1. Merit-Based Scholarships
DAV University provides scholarships based on students' academic performance at the eligibility level, rewarding high-achieving students with tuition fee waivers.
- Students with 95% - 100% Marks (Category Code: M11)
Students scoring 95% or higher in their eligibility exams are eligible for a 100% waiver on the Annual Tuition Fee. To retain this scholarship in the following years, they must maintain a CGPA of 9 or higher.
- Students with 90% - 94.99% Marks (Category Code: M22)
Students who score between 90% and 94.99% receive a 75% waiver on the Annual Tuition Fee, applicable for the first year only.
- Students with 80% - 89.99% Marks (Category Code: M33)
Students with scores ranging from 80% to 89.99% can avail of a 50% waiver on the Annual Tuition Fee in the first year, whereas non-DAVIANS in this category receive a 25% waiver.
2. Scholarships for DAVIANS
DAV University offers special concessions for students from DAV institutions, supporting their transition to higher education.
- First-Time DAVIANS (Category Code: DAV-DAVU)
First-time entrants from DAV schools or institutions receive financial aid in the form of a one-time scholarship in their first year:
- Engineering, MBA & B. Pharma: ₹10,000
- BA/MA (English), Psychology, Diploma in Yoga: ₹2,000
- Other Courses: ₹5,000
- DAV-to-DAV Transfers (Category Code: DAVU-DAVU)
Students moving from DAV University to DAV University receive a 50% waiver on the Annual Tuition Fee for their first year, supporting continued education within the DAV system.
5. Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship
As a result, the Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship is awarded to those financially weak students and is evaluated on a case-by-case basis by a dedicated Scholarship Committee. Subsequent approval by competent authorities is provided for the total amount of approved scholarships that may up to 50% of the annual tuition fee.
