Footwear Design and Development Institute, FDDI, established in 1986 under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, stands as India's premier institution for design and retail education. FDDI Noida conducts admissions through its All India Selection Test (AIST), a comprehensive entrance examination held annually in 38 cities across India. The admission process follows a merit-based approach, evaluating candidates on their aptitude for design, business, and analytical thinking. For the 2025 academic year, applications open on November 15, 2024, with the AIST scheduled for May 11, 2025. The institute offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs in specialised fields such as Footwear Design, Fashion Design, Leather Goods Design, and Retail Management, with centralised counselling for seat allocation taking place in June-July 2025.

FDDI Noida conducts admissions to its prestigious undergraduate and postgraduate programs through the All India Selection Test (AIST), a nationwide entrance examination designed to evaluate candidates' aptitude for design, fashion, retail, and management domains. The selection process is merit-based, with candidates ranked according to their performance in the AIST, followed by centralized counseling for seat allocation across FDDI's network of campuses. The institute offers specialized education in footwear design, fashion design, leather goods design, and retail management, with programs structured to develop both creative and analytical skills. 

Undergraduate Programs

The undergraduate programs at FDDI are four-year, full-time professional degrees designed to develop industry-ready professionals through hands-on training, creative workshops, and immersive project work. All candidates with 12 and AIST valid score can apply for these programs. The fees range between ₹1,11,300 – ₹1,40,600.

Postgraduate Programs

FDDI's postgraduate programs are two-year full-time degrees tailored for graduates from any stream, offering advanced domain knowledge and managerial skills in design and retail sectors. All candidates with a Graduate in any discipline and AIST valid score can apply for these programs. The fees range between ₹1,36,700 – ₹1,66,000.

Short-Term Programs

FDDI offers specialized short-term programs focused on specific skill development and technical expertise in various aspects of footwear manufacturing and design. All candidates with 12 and age above 18 can apply for these programs. The fees range between 5000 - 1,20,000 rupees.

Note: Hostel Fee (excluding mess) for Noida Campus: ₹30,000 per semester

FDDI Noida Application Process 2025

The application process for FDDI Noida is conducted entirely online through a structured four-step procedure. FDDI's admissions process includes comprehensive support throughout the application journey, ensuring that prospective students can navigate each step.

Steps to Apply:

1. Create Login Account:
   • Visit the official admission portal: https://fddiadmissions.qualcampus.com/
   • Click on "Fresh Candidate to create Log In (New Log In)"
   • Fill in the required details with a valid email ID
   • The email ID and date of birth will be used for all future logins
2. Complete the Application Form:
   • Log in to your account with registered email ID and date of birth
   • Fill in all required personal and educational information accurately
   • Save the information by clicking the "SAVE" button
3. Upload Documents:
   • Upload recent passport-size color photograph (max 50 KB, JPG/JPEG format)
   • Upload signature on white paper with black ink (max 50 KB, JPG/JPEG format)
   • Ensure all uploads meet the specified format and size requirements
4. Make Payment and Submit:
   • Pay the application fee through online payment gateway:
     • General/OBC (Non-Creamy)/GEN-EWS Category: ₹600/-
     • SC/ST/PWD Category: ₹300/-
     • Late fee (if applying between 21st-30th April): Additional ₹800/- for General/OBC/GEN-EWS and ₹400/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates
   • Take a printout of the completed application form for future reference

AIST 2025 Exam Pattern

The All India Selection Test (AIST) 2025 will be conducted as a Paper-Based Test (PBT) on 11th May 2025 across 38 cities in India. The test will be conducted in English or Hindi.

• Applicants keeping both options open: Attempt all sections A, B, C, D, and E
