Gujarat Maritime University, also referred to as GMU, is a university founded in 2017. The establishment of the University was facilitated by the Gujarat Maritime Board Education Trust, following the provisions of the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009. At present, the University is functioning from the interim campus of Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) which has been given to GMU until the construction of a dedicated one. It is situated in the state of Gujarat, which has its capital in a place called Gandhinagar at Koba region. The college is currently running 3 postgraduate programs. The offered programs by the university includes LLM which has 2 specializations, EDP which has 2 specializations, and also includes an MBA program in Maritime Management. Gujarat Maritime University Courses 2025
Gujarat Maritime University, GMU for short, has designed a number of specialized courses with the intent of equipping students for rewarding employment opportunities in the maritime industry. The L.L.M program has two specializations, both costing 1.2 Lakhs. In addition, a candidate must have an L.L.B degree, with 50% and above marks, to be considered for admission. GMU also offers Executive Development Program (EDP) in two specializations and the total fee for both is 70,000; to be eligible for these programs, one needs to have a graduation degree. Gujarat Maritime University Facilities
Gujarat Maritime University (GMU) has various amenities for the betterment of learning for the students. One of the prominent features includes the library, which is operational 24/7 and has more than 10000 books pertaining to maritime/trade and other sectors, along with computers which provide access to several online journals and research papers. For the purpose of practical learning, GMU provides computer laborites equipped with more than 20 latest configuration and software computers for research and studies. Classrooms are spacious, modern and well-maintained with executive chairs and desks, smart boards, audio visual aids and have a fully fitted conference hall and open moot courts for practical work. Well furnished hostels are also provided for boys and girls separately which offered hi-speed internet and other basic facilities. GMU also looks after the physical fitness of its students by providing them a gymnasium and through a number of indoor and outdoor sports such as cricket, basketball, tennis and athletics.
