In Dehradun, Uttarakhand, there is a distinguished medical school called the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS). The establishment of HIMS Dehradun took place in 1995. The Medical Council of India (MCI) has approved it, and it is a component of Swami Rama Himalayan University.
