IIMB – Accommodation Options and Living Costs

Students have two primary accommodation options during their stay at IIMB:

Option 1: IIMB provides support by sharing contact details of nearby hotels and serviced apartments. The daily expenses for hotels range from INR 1600 to INR 3500. For serviced apartments, the monthly rent for a single occupancy room is approximately INR 20,000, excluding food costs.

Option 2: Exchange students may avail on-campus hostel accommodation subject to availability. Those choosing to stay in the student hostels must adhere strictly to the institute’s hostel rules. Non-compliance with these regulations could result in penalties as per the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) disciplinary measures.

IIMB – Academic Expenses Overview

Regarding academic costs such as books, course materials, or registration fees, there are typically no additional charges at IIMB for exchange students, as tuition payments are handled by their home institutions.

IIMB – Additional Expenses and Policies

Other incidental costs include charges for library services, printing, health insurance, and local transportation. IIMB does not levy fees for tuition, library, computer usage, or course materials beyond the stated hostel and mess fees.

  • Students are responsible for any personal expenses related to printing, photocopying, and other incidental costs.
  • All outstanding dues must be settled before leaving the campus.
  • Students will incur fines for damaging or failing to return library books.

This detailed expense outline ensures students can plan their finances effectively while residing at or near IIMB, with clear information on housing options, mess charges, and additional costs involved during their academic tenure.
