IIT Bombay JEE Advanced Cutoff 2024 - Closing Ranks of Round 1 and Last Round

The IIT Bombay cutoff for admission to the BTech, Integrated BTech, and BArch programmes in a range of specialisations was made public in 2024. Following the release of the Round 5 seat allocation results for the General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and PWD categories, the JEE Advanced counselling for 2024 came to an end. The last round closing scores for the IIT Bombay JEE Advanced cutoff 2024 ranged from 68 to 7430, with the B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering course being the most difficult to gain admission to IIT Bombay, the Indian Institute of Technology, for students in the General AI category. The IIT Bombay CSE cutoff 2024 was 68 in the first round.

With a final round closing rank of 496, the B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering course was the second most competitive. The B.S. in Chemistry course had a closing cutoff of 7430 for candidates in the General AI category, making it a less competitive course.

The last round of the B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering program had a 50 cutoff point for students in the OBC category. Students can refer to the table below for a complete first and last round IIT Bombay branch-wise cutoff 2024:

IIT Bombay JEE Advanced Cutoff Year Wise Comparison 2024, 2023, 2022

The JEE Advanced cutoff scores for the past three years for IIT Bombay's engineering and architecture programs are available for a variety of specialisations. The most competitive branch for students in the General AI category is still the BTech in CSE, while taking into account the most recent round closing rank cutoff during the previous three years. Conversely, the allure of a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering has diminished over time due to the steady rise in the closing ranks. This suggests that pupils are no longer interested in taking the course.

No matter which program a person chooses, they can consider a B.S. in Chemistry, a B.Tech. in Environmental Science and Engineering, or a B.Tech. in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science if they want to get into the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. These courses are less competitive for students who fall under the General AI category.

If they are not qualified for competitive courses like CSE, Electrical, etc., OBC students may think about pursuing a B.S. in Chemistry or a B.Tech. in Environmental Science and Engineering in order to be admitted to the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

Course 2024 2023 2022
B.Tech. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research 1726 0 0
B.Tech. in Energy Engineering 2689 2855 2381

IIT Bombay CCMT Cutoff 2024

A GATE exam is required to attend MTech, MArch, or MPlan degrees at IIT Bombay. CCMT counselling comes next. Following the release of the Seat Allotment results for Round 6, which saw closing scores in the General AI category vary from 750 to 325, the IIT Bombay GATE cutoff 2024 was announced. The M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering programme at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, was the most difficult to get into, while the M.Tech. in Earth Sciences (Geoexploration) programme was the least competitive.

For students who fall under the OBC category in the AI quota, there is a considerable demand for M.Tech. programs in computer science and engineering as well as M.Tech. programs in industrial engineering and operations research, according to the IIT Bombay MTech Cutoff 2024.

To assist students in understanding the trends from the previous year, the table below displays the GATE CCMT round-wise, category-wise, and gender-wise closing cutoff scores for 2024, 2023, and 2022.
