UG Course admission

At the undergraduate level, the Institute of Law provides five-year integrated BA-LL.B., BBA-LLB, and B.Com-LL.B. programs. Applicants must have earned at least 45% of the possible points in Class 12 or an equivalent test administered by the CBSE, State body, or another approved body. The All India merit rank in the CLAT exam is used to determine admissions. The shortlist of candidates is determined by their rank. The selected applicants must next fulfill the last admission requirements and go to an on-campus counseling session.

LLM Course admission

The institute offers LL.M. in five specializations at the postgraduate level. Candidates who successfully complete a 3-year L.L.B. or a 5-year Integrated Law Degree Program approved by the Bar Council of India with at least 55% of the possible points are admitted to the LL.M. program. Each specialization has a 15-person intake. Merit in the CLAT (LL.M.) exam determines admission. On-campus counseling is required of candidates who have been shortlisted based on their rank. The admission test will account for 70% of the test's final score, with the remaining 30% being split equally based on job experience, if any.

PhD Admission 2025

The institute provides criminal law and constitutional law. Candidates must have a Master of Laws from any recognized Indian or foreign university with at least 55% of the possible points overall, or an equivalent grade of B on the UGC 7-point scale, in order to be admitted to a two-year Ph.D. program. Candidates must take an entrance exam as the initial stage in the admissions process. Applicants are shortlisted for the interview round if they receive at least a 55% on the entrance exam. Lastly, entrance exam results, prior academic standing, and interview performance are taken into consideration while making admissions.

ILNU Ahmedabad Admission Process 2025

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), administered by the Consortium of NLUs, will determine admission to ILNU's undergraduate and graduate programs, including BCom LLB and LLM, based on merit. The entry requirements are the same as those announced by the CLAT Consortium. The comprehensive CLAT application form is available to students here.

However, based on the number of applications received, candidates will be chosen for the PhD program based on an entrance exam, which will be followed by an interview by the departmental research committee. On the other hand, students who pass the UGC-NET (Including JRF), UGC-CSIR NET (Including JRF), GATE, or GPAT with a valid score in terms of length and cut-off marks will not be required to take the entrance exam and would be considered eligible for a personal interview.

Applications for UG courses can only be submitted online by candidates. Applications can be submitted offline for the LLM course.

  • Applicants for undergraduate courses must first register for an account on the college website before completing the online application.
  • You have two options for paying the application fee: Net Banking or a credit/debit card.
  • To apply for the L.L.M. program, candidates must download the application form from the website.
  • The completed application form must be mailed to the campus with a DD made payable to Institute of Law, Nirma University, payable in Ahmedabad.
  • Candidates will receive an email with the counseling schedule.
