The Indian Agricultural Research Institute is now accepting applications for 2024. The application procedure for MSc, M.Tech, and Ph.D. programs is standard. The institute offers an online application, which must be filled out and submitted to the Academic Council together with all necessary paperwork before the deadline.

Indian Agricultural Research Institute Scholarships
The Standing Committee on Scholarships Financial Assistance and Academic Progress advises IARI to give Junior and Senior Scholarships to its postgraduate and doctoral students who were accepted under the General Open Competition Scheme.
The applicants' admittance and performance at the Post Graduate School determine whether they are awarded the scholarship. The Junior/Senior Scholarship has a two-year and three-year length, with the possibility of a three- or six-month extension in extraordinary circumstances. PG students can apply for a Junior Scholarship of INR 10,500 per month, while Ph.D. students can apply for a Senior Scholarship worth INR 13,125 per month.
Indian Agricultural Research Institute Facilities
- The IARI Library contains 6 lakh publications, including 1 lakh books and monographs, 45,000 bulletins, 30,000 news clippings, 15,000 postgraduate theses, 3,50,000 journal volumes, 10,000 pamphlets, 30,000 reports, and other reference materials. It is one of the biggest and best agrobiological libraries in South East Asia.
- Hostels: The institute features one Saraswati Apartment for married students, five hostels for boys (Hemant, Vasant, Shishir, Grishm, and Sharad), and one for girls (Varsha).
- Sports: The Institute supports extracurricular activities that enhance students' social, cultural, and physical lives. For outdoor activities like football, hockey, cricket, volleyball, tennis, badminton, and other sports, there are large playgrounds available. Additionally, there are facilities for indoor activities such table tennis, chess, and carom.
- Phytotron Facility: A National Phytotron Facility was developed by the Institute in 1997. This laboratory is the first of its type in the nation to investigate the potential effects of greenhouse gasses and climate change, as well as the live responses of plants under controlled conditions.
- Dr. B. P. Pal Auditorium: The auditorium has the name of Dr. B. P. Pal, the former director of the institute. It can accommodate 350 people.
