IISER UG Admissions Selection Process

Admission to the BS-MS Dual Degree program at IISER Pune is conducted through three different channels:

1. State and Central Boards (SCB) Channel

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Science stream in the year of admission or the previous year.
• They must qualify the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) conducted by IISERs.
• Shortlisted candidates are admitted based on their IAT scores.

2. Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Channel

• Candidates must have a valid KVPY fellowship.
• Direct admission is granted to eligible candidates meeting IISER’s requirements.

3. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Advanced) Channel

• Candidates must secure a rank within the specified range in JEE Advanced.
• Direct admission is granted to eligible candidates.

Programs: MSc in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Earth & Climate Science
Selection Criteria:

• Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field (Chemistry, Mathematics, Earth Science, Physics, etc.).
• Admission is based on the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) score or the IISER entrance test (if applicable).

2. Integrated PhD Admission Process

Selection Criteria:
