JISUMS (JIS University Merit Scholarship) Scheme
There is the JISUMS scholarship program that offers a scholarship to the student depending on the perceived academic performance and according to the extent of his or her economic need. The amount can reach up to 100% of the tuition fees.
It is evaluated by the JISUMS Committee; the marks obtained during the last examination and any additional criteria set by the university are considered.

Sardar Jodh Singh Merit Scholarship (SJSMS)
The SJSMS scheme provides scholarship schemes for meritorious and economically weaker students. The scholarship amount can also be up to 100% of the tuition fees
Assessment for scholarship shall be made on the following counts - evaluation of the candidate with entrance examination conducted for getting admission to JISU EE along with other qualification tests undergone prior to it and other eligible criteria.
- Parents employed in Indian Defence Services
- Only Girl Child
- Child of single mother
- Child of a JIS Group Employee
- Child from an orphanage NGO
- Candidate in any athletics presented at the district, state, or national level.Â

Other Scholarships
Apart from the JISUMS and SJSMS schemes, JIS University also offers other scholarships:
- Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Professional & Technical Courses by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India
- Oasis is an online application for a scholarship in studies provided by the Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal.
- Swami Vivekananda West Bengal Government Merit-Cum Means Scholarship Scheme by the Government of West Bengal
Eligibility Criteria
The requirements to be eligible for these scholarships are:
- Academic excellence: scoring high grades in the previous examination and, if relevant, a good track record in earlier qualifying examinations.
- Entrance Exam: Good percentile in the entrance examination for admission at JISUEE.
- Special Considerations: Other criteria which could be included are parents working in Indian Defence Services, single girl child, child of a single mother, child of a JIS Group Employee, a child from an orphanage NGO or the state and national level sports representation.

The process of scholarship application can be described as follows:
