Karpagam College of Engineering was founded in 2000 and is situated in the Tamil Nadu state of Coimbatore. For admission to BE/B.Tech programs, Anna University administers Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). To be eligible to apply, candidates must have received 50% in PCM subjects during their HSC (45% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST). The TNEA Rank List, which is created based on the candidates' HSC scores, will be used to admit students to different engineering colleges. Anna University will arrange the counseling for the same.

Candidates' performance in Anna University's TANCET entrance test determines their eligibility for admission to the institute's ME, MBA, and MCA programs.
