Doctoral(Ph.D.) Programme
The Doctoral, or Ph.D., programs of LJ University are designed for those who want to have further advanced research into any field that they may wish to. The Doctoral programs basically give rigorous training in methodologies and provide ample opportunities to pursue original research that contributes to the advancement of knowledge.

Students must also note the following rules below:
- Coursework classes would be held at L J University campus in the evening/weekends. 80% attendance is a must for sitting in the exam of the coursework
- Research Advisory Committee meetings would be held at University Campus, the presence of the scholar in the RAC meetings is a must. A minimum of Six, 6-monthly RACs should be completed before the submission of the final synopsis
- Coursework of 12 credits now onwards will include Research methodology (generic), specialized research methodology, Discipline-Specific Course and one/ two courses from SWAYAM / UGC recognized Platform. A review of a particular theory or research papers can also be provided, however if review is taken as coursework component, an additional RAC (7th RAC) shall be convened to assess it.
- PhD. Scholars must publish a minimum 2 research papers on the said topic indexed in Scopus/Web of Science/ Hien Database/ABDC/EBSCO and Present one paper with at least one in an international conference.
- LJ University offers scholarships in fees to L J University Faculty/Staff for promoting research. However, to avail this scholarship the faculty/staff member should continue with the University till completion of the programme. Even though they will have to pay the fees which is equivalent to the fees charged from others, the total amount of scholarship will be refunded to the scholars on completion of his/her Ph.D. The tuition fees for L J Faculty/Staff will be 15,000/- per semester.
- It is true that Maximum time span for Ph.D. programme is 6 years but even in that scenario scholars will have to pay fees for 8 Semesters only before submitting their thesis
- If your fees are not paid for more than 3 consecutive semesters, then your registration is canceled.
