Madras School of Social Work (MSSW) offers the BSW and B.Sc. courses at the UG level, the MSW, M.Sc. and M.A. courses at the PG level and the M. Phil and PhD courses at the Doctorate level. Madras School of Social Work also offers the Post Graduate Diploma courses at the PG level.

Candidates can apply to all the courses at MSSW online, through the official website of the college. Candidates who have passed 10+2 from any stream are eligible to apply for the UG courses. BSW and B.Sc. seats will be allotted on the basis of merit in the qualifying 10+2 examination.

Candidates who have completed graduation of minimum 3 years, from any discipline, are eligible to apply for the MSW and M.A. courses. Candidates who have completed graduation in psychology or counseling psychology are eligible to apply for the M.Sc. course. PG course seats will be allotted on the basis of scores obtained in an entrance test and performance in group discussion and personal interview, conducted by the college.

Candidates who have completed graduation from any discipline and have work experience are eligible to apply for the PG Diploma courses. Candidates who have completed PG degree in the respective streams are eligible to apply for the M.Phil and PhD courses. PG Diploma, M.Phil and PhD course seats will be allotted on the basis of merit in the qualifying degree examination.

Admission to the BSW and B.Sc. courses will be done on the basis of merit in the qualifying 10+2 examination.

Key Points:

• Candidates must be less than 21 years of age to be eligible to apply.
• Candidates belonging to the SC / ST / BC / MBC / DNC categories will receive a relaxation of 5 years in the age requirement to be satisfied to be eligible to apply.

Madras School of Social Work offers the MSW, M.Sc. and M.A. courses at the PG level. The M.A. The course is offered in 4 specializations and the M.Sc. the course is offered in one specialization.

Applications to the MSW and M.A. courses will be accepted from candidates who have completed graduation of minimum 3 years from any discipline. Applicants to the M.Sc. course must have completed graduation of minimum 3 years duration, from the Psychology or Counseling Psychology streams.

Admission to the Master of Social Work (MSW), M.Sc. and M.A. courses will be done on the basis of scores obtained in an entrance test, followed by performance in the group discussion and personal interview rounds, which will be conducted by the college.

Note: The entrance test will test the applicants in the areas of General Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude / Data Interpretation, Reading Comprehension / Verbal Ability, Social Awareness and General Knowledge.

Madras School of Social Work offers the M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses at the doctorate level. The M. Phil course is offered in 2 specializations and the PhD course is offered in 1 specialization. Phil and PhD courses will be done on the basis of merit in the qualifying degree examination.

Madras School of Social Work offers the PG Diploma course in 2 specializations. Applications to the PG Diploma courses are accepted from candidates who have completed undergraduate degree from any discipline in relevant field. Admission to the PG Diploma courses will be done on the basis of merit in the qualifying degree examination.

Note: Candidates who have work experience will be given preference for admission into the PG Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations course.
