Mgu hostel
The Mahatma Gandhi University offers well-equipped dorms that guarantee the comfort and safety of both staff and students. To improve this aspect, it made separate accommodations for male and female students in the hostels, which emphasize a secure and congenial environment to live in. Among the boys' hostels, there are Pallana and Meenachil; among the ladies' hostels, there are Sairandhri, Nila, Kabani, and Chandragiri. The institution provides quarters for its teaching and staff members, including residential quarters for teachers and well-furnished quarters for staff members. In Kochi, it has the exclusive Teachers' Hostel at Kowdiar, while staff quarters are available in Pamba, Mullayar, and Periyar.
This helps the students remain on campus and also enhances the experience since time allocation for commutation to school is minimized, besides easy access to buildings, libraries, and other facilities. Hostels offer a wide range of amenities for effective living thus giving an equally balanced education experience. All these help build a sense of community among the students and between the faculty and staff, making the place very conducive for those seeking higher education in a supportive environment.
The hostel charges comprise an admission fee, which is paid only once, and three months' rent amounting to ₹830.
