About NIT Jamshedpur 

The National Institute of Technology in Jamshedpur was previously known as the Regional Institute of Technology. The institute was founded in 1960 as a collaboration between the Government of India and the Government of Bihar. NITJSR has the designation of an Institute of National Importance.
