Rajeev Gandhi College, Bhopal was established on 20 August 1994, with the objective of providing education among the poor and educationally backward class.

Graduates under 10+2+3 pattern of education from Rajiv Gandhi University or any other UGC recognized university with 45% marks in honours/ major in 50% marks in pass course. Candidates who have appeared in their UG final year semester examinations and are awaiting results are also allowed to apply and appear in the entrance exam.

Hostel
The Institute has magnificently designed separate hostels for boys and girls each with all modern facilities for boarding and other recreational activities. The hostel buildings are remarkable pieces of architecture. Because of the carefully designed structure the temperature inside the buildings remains comfortable even in extremely hot conditions. Twenty-four hours security assured.
Hostel committee, a student body, manages the hostel. The Hostel committee in consultation with students takes care of different aspects like hygiene, price, timings etc. The hostel is well connected by public transport system. The life in hostels enables students to spend ample time to acquire necessary skills that can be obtained only through experience.
