Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya (RDVV), also known as the University of Jabalpur, is a public state university located in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Applicants wanting to get admitted to the university have to meet the minimum eligibility criteria as specified for individual courses. Undergraduate and postgraduate courses are admitted on the basis of entrance test and merit obtained in the same. The university, however, conducts Doctoral Entrance Test (DET) for Ph.D. admission for each subject individually. The candidates who pass the interview test need to appear for an interview to be selected for the course.

In 2018-19, for 3 year UG Degree, total students admitted at RDVV - Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya were 240 and 220 graduated in 2020-21. 12 students were placed out of 220 with a median salary of INR 1,80,000. 255 students were admitted in the year 2019-20 for 3 year UG degree at RDVV - Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya and 230 graduated in 2021-22. 14 students out of 230 were placed with a median salary of INR 220000.

RDVV Scholarships

Following are the details of the scholarships provided by the university.

  • The university provides merit scholarships to poor students, who are unable to afford the education fees. This scholarship is provided to just 30 students annually.
  • They need to appear for an entrance exam, and if they score the cut-off marks necessary for the scholarship, they are issued a scholarship certificate declaring the wavering off of their fees.
  • RDVV also permits its students to avail themselves of the National Scholarship scheme offered by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology.
  • There is also a scholarship program for students from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe.

  • Hostel: 2 hostels named, Devendra Boys' Hostel with 100 rooms, and Kasturba Women's Hostel with 80 rooms.
