Shivaji College is a well known college situated in New Delhi. The college is affiliated with University of Delhi. Shivaji College was established in 1961 by Hon'ble Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh, Union Minister for Agriculture and a renowned social activist and farmer-leader.. The college provides both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the fields of science ,commerce and humanities. Shivaji College was accredited with Grade 'A' and has an active Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
This college promotes an engaged teaching-learning environment and gives its students a platform to influence their undergraduate experience. The strategy used by this institution is to support a wide range of new activities in addition to providing an open environment where students can pursue interests of their own.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET), conducted by the National Test Agency (NTA), is the government exam used to determine admission to all undergraduate and graduate programs at Shivaji Collegefor Women. Candidates must appear for CUET UG in order to be admitted to UG programs, and CUET PG in order to be admitted to PG programs.
Candidates wishing to be considered for admission to different programs must fill out the University of Delhi's Common Seat Allocation System (UG) and appear in the CUET-UG.
Candidates will need to indicate their choices for the combination of program and college while filling out the CSAS UG.
Candidates will have to Accept the temporary seat that has been assigned to them. The candidates' eligibility and uploaded documents will be examined by the college. within the time frame specified.
Documents to be Verified by the College of Admission:-
The candidates shall be required to upload copies of relevant certificates/documents at the time of applying (as applicable) and produce the same certificates/ documents in original at the time of physical verification at the college.
1) Marks sheet for class XII.
2) Original/Provisional Certificate for Class XII.
3) Certificate of Class X Board Examination (for birthdate)
Class X Marks-Sheet No. 4.
4) A migration certificate from the university or board, if the student is not from Delhi.
5) A transfer certificate from an institution (if the student is not from Delhi).
6) Recently issued Character Certificate.
7) Four passport-sized photos, on the back of which should be printed the applicant's name and the course they are applying for.
8) A University of Delhi Eligibility Certificate (for candidates who have completed a board examination other than those specified in the University of Delhi Bulletin of Information).
9) A copy of their school certificate or mark sheet attesting to their Hindi proficiency in class VIII (for those who have studied Hindi only through class VIII and do not want to pursue further studies).
10) For candidates who have only studied English up to class VIII, a certificate of having completed that course in the language.
11) SC/ST Certificate (in the candidate's name) from the appropriate authorities - for SC/ST Candidates.
12) OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate: For OBC applicants, a certificate in their name is granted by the appropriate government.
The admission process is entirely entrance based and on candidates' performance in the merit examinations. A minimum of 55 percent marks should be availed by students to get enrolled in the institute for masters and undergraduate programme . Shivaji College for Women gives financial aid to poor students for the duration of their college studies ( sometimes they get a monthly stipend and book banks).
The scholastic merit of the students in the college is recognised by the number of scholarships/ fellowships that they receive.
The scholarship is awarded to the students of B.Com (Hons) II and III Year each,who secure the highest percentage of marks (above 70% in aggregate) in the College ,in the first attempt.
A monthly scholarship of Rs 1000/- is awarded to the best student of B.A. (Programme.) Ist year on the basis of his/her examination results
It is awarded to the student of B.Com (H) III year who secures the second highest percentage of marks, (above 70% in aggregate) in the college, in B.Com (H) II year.
Students of the Department of Economics at Shivaji College are felicitated with the annual merit cum means scholarships under P. C. Ganguly Memorial Scholarship. Every year a sum of Rs 3000/- is awarded to one student of Economics from each year of B.A (Hons.) Economics.
A Scholarship of Rs. 3500/- is awarded to the B.Com (Hons.) student under New Revised Syllabus, for securing highest marks in II nd Semester University examinations.
A Scholarship of Rs. 3600/- is awarded to B.Com(Hons.) student under New Revised Syllabus, for securing highest marks in IV th Semester University examinations.
Two prizes will be awarded to top two students of B.Sc. (H) Zoology in the penultimate year of the degree course.
A Gold Medal would be awarded to the topper of B.Sc. (H) Physics III Year.
