Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering is a private institution connected to VTU Belgaum and founded in 1963. In 1968, the first college in Karnataka was introduced by SJCE, the Electronics and Communication branch of engineering. According to NIRF 2023, the college is ranked #151 and has received approval from the NBA and AICTE. Built over 117 acres, the campus is like a second home for the students. SJCE provides a number of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral courses, including BE, MTech, MBA, MCA, and PhD. The institute is mostly recognised for its flagship BE program, though, and admittance is solely determined by passing qualifying tests like COMEDK and KCET. After counselling, the Institute accepts a valid KCET score for admission to BE programs.

SJCE Courses 2025

SJCE provides BTech and MBA as their famous programs. The college offers regular and evening BTech courses. Employed diploma holders are the target audience for the evening BTech program. The primary goal of providing BTech courses in a variety of specialisations is to teach design and analysis skills through the use of software programs and many codes of practice. SJCE Admission 2025

The SJCE Mysore admission process is conducted online for all courses and is considered by entrance based. COMEDK UGET, KCET, Karnataka PGCET, and other entrance exams are accepted. Candidates who apply through COMEDK UGET must first register for the entrance exam, then wait for their COMEDK UGET Admit Card, appear for the entrance exam, and then apply on the college's official website with their relevant scores.

At present, 160 students are living on campus and in the Hootagalli hostel, while the girls hostel can accommodate approximately 200 students. Both hostels offer amenities such a drinking water RO system, 24/7 electricity, a two-wheeler parking area, and Wi-Fi internet.
