Vivekananda College is known for providing a dynamic and empowering educational environment for young women. The college was set up in 1970 in Gandhi Nager by the Delhi Administration with grants from UGC.

The college offers a diversity of courses. A total of eleven UG and two PG courses are offered. Courses (Hons. and Program) offered related to Arts, Commerce, and Science. Several Add-on courses and one self-financing course if offered as well.

As a part of its ongoing engagement with the larger community, the college has assisted and acted as a resource base. The Social Outreach and Community Development (SOCDC), Vidya Vistar and NSS volunteers of the college have actively facilitated this process of community outreach.

Admission

Vivekananda College Admission will be based on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET scores conducted by NTA for both UG and PG programs. Once the CUET results are out, the registration process for admission to the Vivekananda College will start eligible candidates can apply on the college website and fill in their choice of program and seat allocation.

Admission Process

Seeking candidates for admission to Vivekananda College must register for the CUET examination first and then Delhi University’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS).

The application process for Delhi University UG and PG programs are mentioned below:

  1. For UG admission, eligible candidates must visit the official website of CUET UG- cuet.samarth.ac.in
  2. For PG admission, candidates should visit the CUET PG official website- cuet.nta.nic.in
  3. After opening the official website candidates will find the “Register’ tab, and click on it.
  4. After reading all the information provided, click the “Proceed”.
  5. Candidates should fill out the application form with the required credentials.
  6. After filling in all the details, candidates should submit all the required documents, such as signatures, photographs, mark sheets, etc.
  7. Candidates should pay the application fee after submitting the application form.
  8. Take a copy of the application form.

  1. Visit the official website of Delhi University- admission.uod.ac.in portal-
  2. Click on “Register” in the menu bar.
  3. Read all the information and academic details.
  4. Submit all the required document

Eligibility

  1. Candidates must have studied and passed the class XII examination.
  2. The candidates must appear in CUETUG in those subjects in which candidates are appearing/have passed class XII.
  3. Only the score obtained in CUET will be considered for admission to the academic.
  4. Candidates from the Sikh and Christian Minorities may also seek admission under the minority quota in the Ministry College of the University.
  5. 10% of supernumerary seats in each program are reserved for Foreign Nationals.

Vivekananda College was formally established to provide students wit career-appropriate assistance, training, and skill-set and help them make premier career choices. The committee also serves as a conduit for placement-related activities between the University of Delhi’s Central Placement Cell (CPC).

Placement Cell Policies

  1. All the regular final year students of Vivekananda College who are interedsted in campus placement, must complete registration in the beginning of the final academic year.

Scholarship

The Government of NCT of Delhi awards scholarships to students belonging to the reserved category and economically weaker families and low-income groups.

The following scholarships are given to the students annually. The criteria availability & amount of scholarship may be changed based on the recommendation of the institution authority.

3 Shri J.N. Seth Memorial Award An annual award of Rs. 5000/- only is given to needy and meritorious students from 3rd year B.A. (Prog), on the basis of her 2nd year University Examination
4 Prof. V.K. Dublish Memorial Award An annual award is given to the student of English (Hons.) III year whose combined marks of 4 semesters is

the highest.

5 Naman and Megha Ahuluwalia Scholarship The scholarship is given to a student of Applied Psychology (Hons.) III year on the basis of highest marks

in the II year University examination.

6 S. Neela Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is given to the best student of B.A. (Prog.) from II year who has secured highest marks in I

year Exam in Music or on the recommendation of the Teacher-in-Charge of the Music Department

7. Sultan Chand Dropadi Devi Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is given to a student of B.Com (Hons.) III year, who has secured highest marks (70% and

above) in B.Com (H) II year University Examination. If in any year, two or more candidates secure an

equal number of marks, the value of the scholarship shall be divided equally amongst them.

8. Dr. Usha Aggarwal Tejaswini Scholarship This scholarship is given to a student of B.Com. (Prog.) III year, who secured highest marks (70% and

above) in B.Com. (Prog.) II year University Exam respectively. If in any year, two or more candidates

secure an equal number of marks, the value of the scholarship shall be divided equally amongst them.

9. Sultan Chand Memorial Scholarship Endowment This scholarship is given to a student of B. Com (Hons.) II year, who has secured the highest marks in

B.Com (H) I year Semester II University Examination. If in any year, two or more candidates secure an

equal number of marks, the value of the scholarship shall be divided equally amongst them.

10 Shri Sultan Chand Memorial Scholarship Endowment This scholarship is given to the students of B.Com. & B. Com. (Hons.) II year and Pass out students, who

has secured the highest marks in B.Com. & B. Com. (H) I Year and III Year University Examination. If in

any year, two or more candidates secure an equal number of marks, the value of the scholarship shall be

divided equally amongst them.

11 Lt. Sh. N.N. Roy Choudhury Scholarship This scholarship is given to the Best Student of the College for the current academic year.
12 K.N. Suri Undergraduate Scholarship for students with special ability This scholarship is given to a PwBD student of II year on the basis of highest marks in I year University

examination without ER and 15% relaxation in the criteria of scholarship for VH students.
