The YCMOU Scholarship Department releases an advertisement about the available scholarship in news papers as well as on the official website of YCMOU. The SSD is working hard enough to benefit students of every Scholarship Scheme to help them complete their higher education smoothly.
YCMOU Scholarships and Departments
The main Schemes offered by the YCMOU are as follows -
- Government of India Post Matric Scholarship
- Post Matric Scholarship to OBC Students
- Post Matric Scholarship to SBC Students
- Post Matric Scholarships to VJNT Students
- Raja Shri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshak Shukla Shishyavrutti Yojana
The above mentioned schemes are monitored by different departments of YCMOU. They are as follows -

YCMOU Scholarship (Available)

YCMOU National Service Scheme
Beginning in 2006, the University implemented the National Service Scheme (NSS). Among the National and State-level Open Universities, the Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University is the first to be tasked with implementing the National Service Scheme.There are a total of 2700 NSS units in all the 8 regions and in the area of study Center and locality, activities are organized. The Government of Maharashtra grants the YCMOU for implementing various socially useful activities through National Service Scheme.
Main Activities of NSS

Other Activities
NSS also organises various activities in the regions based on social & economic conditions and the needs of local people. These conditions vary region and area wise and hence area & conditions based activities are given top priority. These main activities include the following -
