CAT 2025 Results: The conducting body of the CAT 2025 exam will announce the CAT 2025 results online on the official website. It is expected to follow the same releasing trend as of the 2024 CAT exam. The results for the CAT 2024 examination were declared on December 19, 2025. Candidates can download their scorecards by logging into the portal designed for this purpose. In this examination, 14 candidates secured a perfect score of 100 percentile, which included one female candidate.

Moreover, there were 29 candidates who scored 99.99 percentile and 30 candidates who attained 99.98 percentile. The CAT 2024 examination was conducted on November 24, 2024. The official answer key for CAT 2024 was released on November 29, 2024, and the deadline for objection submission ended on December 5, 2024. The final answer key was released on December 16, 2024, with no valid objections.

The result cum scorecard will include a number of details, including the name of the candidate, login credentials, date and time of birth, gender, category, exam date and time, contact information, scores and percentiles (both sectional and overall), and additional instructions. The CAT 2025 scorecard can be downloaded from the website and is valid for one year, ending on December 31, 2025. Any inquiry about the distribution of scorecards will not be answered by the authorities.

Candidates can follow the below steps to download the CAT 2025 results. The steps are as follows- 

• Visit the link to the official website.
• When candidates click on the link, the results of the CAT website will be displayed.
• Enter the user ID and password to complete the login process.
• Press the Login button.
• After completing the step, the computer screen will display the scorecard or result.
• Examine it thoroughly and make more copies.
• Keep it safe till the admission procedure.

Steps to Check CAT 2024 Result on Mobile

Candidates can check the CAT 2025 result on their mobile phones. However, it is advisable to download the CAT scorecard from a laptop or desktop computer. Here are the steps to download the CAT result 2025 on their mobile phone:

1. Open a web browser on your mobile phone.
2. Key in the CAT exam website as iimcat.ac.in.
3. Click on the 'CAT 2024 scorecard' option.
4. Now, input your application number and password.
5. Click on the scorecard tab to view the document.

The CAT scorecard is downloadable in PDF format. The details that the CAT 2025 scorecard will contain are as follows:

• CAT 2024 registration number/user ID
• Candidate's name, date of birth, category, and gender

• Overall CAT scaled score
• Section-wise CAT score
• Section-wise CAT percentile score

CAT 2025 Percentile Calculation

Percentiles will be used to announce the CAT Result 2025. The CAT marking scheme is used to generate the CAT 2025 Percentile. The equating technique is used to modify the final result. Subsequently, the score is averaged over various segments. After that, the applicants' normalised scores might be further translated into percentiles in order to create a shortlist.

The process of calculating the percentile of CAT is divided into three different steps. Given below are the steps involved in the calculation for the results of CAT 2025:

• Candidate marks as per the number of correct and incorrect answers given.
• The total score is determined by awarding +3 points for each correct answer and subtracting -1 point for each incorrect answer.
• These raw scores, both section-wise and overall, are further normalized to generate a scaled CAT score subsequently.
• The percentiles are converted from the normalized scores that have been transformed and then presented in the CAT scorecards.

CAT 2025 Normalisation Process

To ensure that all candidates are treated equally, despite the differences in the question papers, the CAT authorities normalize the scores. Normalization is the process of scaling the scores of each test participant to make them uniform. The parameters taken into consideration during the CAT 2025 normalization process are as follows:

• Highest score

• Mean score
• Median score
• Top 10 percentiles
• Lowest 10 percentiles

CAT 2025 Post-Results Steps

Shortly after the declaration of CAT 2025 results, IIMs will initiate shortlisting of students for the next stages: Written Ability Test and Personal Interview. The cut-offs for shortlisting will be established by individual IIMs themselves, as decided by their own minimum requirements for selection. Candidates who meet the required cut-off will be invited to fill an online application at the websites of the IIMs that candidates had chosen at the time of applying to CAT 2025.

• In order to be considered for selection, it is crucial that the candidates submit the PI shortlist form before the deadline. The evaluation will take into account the CAT scores of the candidates along with their academic performance in Class 10 and Class 12.
• Thereafter, institutes will shortlist for WAT and PI. IIMs will release the list of shortlists for the cycle of CAT 2025 by January 2026. The Personal Interview rounds will take place in March and April and final results are released by May 2026.
• The final decision on the candidates to be chosen for the MBA/PGP batch 2026-2028 will be taken based on a combination of factors such as CAT 2025, academic background, work experience, diversified academics, diversified genders, and the performance in the WAT and PI.
