The ICAR AIEEA 2025 exam for Ph.D. courses will be conducted in LAN-based Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The exam will have a duration of 2 hours. Candidates will be required to answer a total of 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), which will be divided into three sections. Part A will consist of 20 questions covering General Knowledge and Reasoning Ability. Part B will include 50 questions from the core group containing the specialized subject chosen by the candidate for the Ph.D. program. Part C will have 50 questions from the specialized subject opted for by the candidate.
The total marks for the exam will be 480, with Part A carrying 80 marks, while Parts B and C will each carry 200 marks. Candidates will receive 4 marks for every correct answer, whereas 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response. No marks will be awarded or deducted for unattempted questions. The question paper will be available only in English.
