Before proceeding with the CUET application form, candidates must check the detailed JNU eligibility criteria for the program they aim for.
Age Limit:
- There is no upper age limit to apply for the B.A. (Hons.) program at Jawaharlal Nehru University.
- However, the minimum age should be 17 as of 1st October 2025 to be eligible for admission.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have completed their class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognized board/ university per the JNU eligibility criteria for CUET. Those appearing for class 12 in 2025 can also apply for the exam.
- Candidates must have obtained a Certificate of Alimiah issued by any of the following Madrasas subject to the condition that they have passed the English language at the level of Senior Secondary from a recognized Board/University or a three-year course conducted by Darul-Uloom Deoband.
Minimum Qualifying Marks
- Those who have already pursued a BA/MA language program in two or more Centres of the School during their entire academic career are not eligible for admission at JNU.
- 80% of the seats in the first year of the 3-year B.A.(Hons.) program is reserved for those who have either passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations in the year 2024 or appearing in 2025, and the remaining 20% are open to all other aspirants.
- If aspirants have obtained a Higher Secondary Certificate under the 10+1 pattern of education, they will be eligible for admission to the First-Year of the three-year B.A. program.
CUET JNU Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc-M.Sc. Integrated Program in Ayurveda Biology
If aspirants are seeking admission to B.Sc- M.Sc. Integrated Program in Ayurveda Biology at JNU through the CUET, they should satisfy the following criteria in terms of qualification and minimum qualifying marks.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
Minimum Qualifying Marks
- If students belong to the general category, you must have obtained a minimum of 45% aggregate in 10+2 or equivalent exams.
- Aspirants belonging to the OBC category (non-creamy layer) will be given a 10% relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination compared to the open category.
- If candidates are from SC/ST and Person with Disability (PWD) category and passed the qualifying examination, you can apply for the exam irrespective of your percentage of marks.
CUET JNU Eligibility Criteria for COP (Mongolian, Bhasha Indonesia, Urdu, Pashto, Uzbek, Hebrew)
Candidates must satisfy the following eligibility criteria to be eligible for the COP program at Jawaharlal Nehru University.
Educational Qualification

You should have completed senior secondary school (10+2) or an equivalent exam from a recognized university or board.

Suppose candidates have obtained a Higher Secondary Certificate under the 10+1 pattern of education. In that case, candidates can also apply for admission to the COP programs if they have successfully completed the first year of the Bachelor's degree examination at a University under the 10+1+3 pattern of education.
