Candidates must study the entire syllabus in order to be ready for the JEE Main 2025 exam. The NTA has released the JEE Main 2025 syllabus PDF at their official website.
The JEE Main 2025 exam was conducted for three courses, paper 1 for BE/B.Tech which consists of class 11th and 12th physics, chemistry and mathematics, paper 2A for B.Arch which includes topic of mathematics, general aptitude, and drawing and Paper 2B for BPlan consists mathematics, general aptitude, and planning topics.
Candidates can check the JEE Main Syllabus in below table
Syllabus for JEE Main Paper 1 (B.E./ B.Tech)- Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
Subject | Topics |
---|---|
Mathematics | sets, relations, and functioncomplex numbers and quadratic equationsmatrices and determinantspermutations and combinationsbinomial theorem and its simple applicationssequence and serieslimit, continuity, and differentiability integral calculusdifferential equationscoordinate geometry three dimensional geometryvector algebrastatistics and probability trigonometry |
Physics | Physics involves measurement and kinematics. Laws of motion govern how objects move. Work, energy, and power are fundamental concepts. Rotational motion deals with spinning objects. Gravitation explains the force between masses. Solids and liquids have distinct properties.
Thermodynamics studies heat and energy transfer. Gases are analyzed through kinetic theory. Oscillations and waves exhibit periodic motion. Electrostatics studies static electric charges. Current electricity flows through conductors. Magnetic effects result from electric currents. Electromagnetic induction creates currents. Electromagnetic waves travel through space. Optics studies light and its properties. Matter shows both particle and wave behaviors. Atoms and nuclei form the basis of matter. Electronic devices manipulate electric currents. Experimental skills are essential in physics. |
Chemistry | Chemistry includes basic concepts, atomic structure, and chemical bonding. It studies thermodynamics, solutions, equilibrium, and redox reactions. Chemical kinetics examines reaction rates. Inorganic chemistry covers element classification and periodic properties. It includes P-block, D-block, and F-block elements, as well as coordination compounds.
Organic chemistry focuses on purifying and characterizing compounds. It studies hydrocarbons, halogen-containing, oxygen-containing, and nitrogen-containing organic compounds. Biomolecules and practical chemistry principles are also explored. |
