Maharashtra State Common Entrance Cell has declared the MAH B.Ed CET 2025 Eligibility Criteria. As per the eligibility criteria, there is no upper age limit. Only Indian citizens are eligible 

for the MAH B.Ed CET 2025 Exam. Candidates willing to appear in the exam must obtain at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam and reserved category candidates get 5% relaxation in marks. Additionally, as per MAH B.Ed CET, 2025 Eligibility criteria SC candidates will get a 13% reservation and ST candidates will get a 7% reservation

MAH B.Ed CET 2025 General Eligibility

As per the MAH B.Ed CET 2025 Eligibility Criteria, Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants should be a citizen of India.
  • Educational requirements include a bachelor's or master's degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, Mathematics, Humanities, or Commerce. Candidates in the general category must have at least 50% marks, while those in reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/SBC) must have at least 45%. Final-year students are also welcome to apply.

  • Identification Proof: A valid ID, such as an Aadhar card, PAN card, voter ID, or driver's license.
  • Education Certificates:
  • Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates.

  • Domicile Certificate: Proof of residence in Maharashtra, if required.
  • Caste Certificate: Candidates from reserved groups must have a valid caste certificate.

MAH B.Ed CET 2025 Special Reservation Criteria

The MAH B.Ed CET 2025 offers reservation privileges to candidates in a variety of categories, guaranteeing equitable access to education.

Backward Class Candidates

Candidates from the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Special Backward Classes (SBC) are eligible for the following relaxations:

Minimum Marks Relaxation: A 5% reduction in the minimum necessary marks is granted. Thus, although general category candidates must obtain at least 50% in their qualifying test, candidates from these restricted categories must achieve at least 45%.

Reservation Percentage: The reservation percentages for the following categories are:

  • Scheduled castes (SC): 13%.
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7 %
  • Vimukta Jati (VJ) and De Notified Tribes (DT) (NT-A): 3%
  • Nomadic Tribes 1 (NT-B): 2.5 %
  • Nomadic Tribes II (NT-C): 3.5%
  • Nomadic Tribes 3 (NT-D): 2 %
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 19%.

To be eligible for these reservations, candidates must possess valid caste certificates issued by the competent authority. Additionally, OBC candidates must provide a Non-Creamy Layer certificate valid for the current fiscal year. 

Persons with Disabilities (PWD)

The MAH B.Ed CET 2025 has reservations for candidates with disabilities:

  • Reservation Percentage: PwD candidates are allocated 5% of the total seats.
  • Categories of Disability: This includes candidates with benchmark disabilities, like:
  • Blindness and low vision.
  • Deaf and Hard of Hearing
  • Locomotor disability.
  • Autism, intellectual impairment, special learning disability, and mental illness
  • Multiple disabilities from the categories listed above.

Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)

Candidates from economically weaker sections are also given reservation benefits:

  • Reservation Percentage: 10% of all seats are designated for EWS applicants.
  • Eligibility Criteria: EWS reservation is available to candidates who do not qualify for SC, ST, or OBC reservations and have a family income of less than ₹8 lakh per year.

Other reservations

Additional bookings are available in the following categories:

  • Orphan Candidates: One percent of seats are reserved for orphan candidates.
  • Children of defense personnel and ex-servicemen are entitled to 5% of available seats.
  • Female Candidates: 30% of the seats are allotted for female candidates.

MAH B.Ed CET 2025 Application Limitations

There are no limits to the number of attempts for the MAH B.Ed CET 2025. Candidates should, however, ensure that they meet all eligibility criteria to avoid frequent problems such as misreading of qualification requirements or inaccurate documentation.
