MET 2025 Phase 1 Results were officially declared on April 21, 2025, by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). Candidates who appeared for the Manipal Entrance Test 2025 Phase 1 can now access their scorecards through the official website, manipal.edu, using their login credentials.

MET 2025 Phase 1 examination was held on April 18 and 19 in computer-based mode for admission to undergraduate BTech programmes. Students who have qualified in the MET 2025 Phase 1 Results will be eligible to proceed to the next stage of the admission process, which includes counselling and seat allotment.

MET 2025 Tie-Breaking Criteria

If two or more candidates score the same in MET 2025, the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will use a tie-breaking process to decide their rankings. The process follows these steps:

• Candidates with higher marks in Mathematics will be allotted a higher rank. 
• If the tie still exists, candidates with a higher score in Physics will get a higher rank.
• If the tie still has not been broken, candidates with higher marks in Chemistry will get the higher rank.
• If the tie still persists, candidates with higher marks in the 10th standard PCM will be allotted a higher rank.
• Lastly, if the tie is still not broken, candidates who are older will get the higher rank.

MET Merit List 2025

MET 2025 merit list will be released online in the second week of June 2025 by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), after the declaration of results for both Phase 1 and Phase 2 exams. It will include the names and ranks of candidates eligible for admission to undergraduate programs offered by MAHE.

Candidates can access the merit list by logging into the official MAHE website using their registered email ID and password.

The list will display ranks based on performance in MET 2025. Only those included in the merit list will be eligible to participate in the MET 2025 counselling process, where they can select their preferred courses and campuses.

MET 2025 Counselling Process

MET 2025 counselling process, conducted by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), is expected to begin in the second/third week of June 2025. This online process is held for admission to undergraduate programs offered across MAHE campuses, including the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), and Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ).

Qualified candidates must register on the official counselling portal at counseling.manipal.edu using their MET 2025 credentials. During registration, candidates are required to fill in their preferred courses and campuses.

Seats are allotted based on MET rank, candidate preferences, category, and seat availability. The allotment results are published online, and candidates can view their status by logging into the portal.

Those allotted a seat must pay the first installment of the course fee within the given deadline to confirm admission. Failure to do so may lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.

After the fee payment, candidates must upload scanned copies of the required documents for verification. The list of necessary documents will be provided on the official counselling website.

If seats remain vacant after the initial rounds, MAHE may conduct additional counselling rounds. Candidates who did not receive a seat or wish to upgrade their choice can participate in these rounds.

MAHE may also offer intra-institute sliding, allowing candidates to shift to preferred branches within the same institute based on seat availability. Additionally, spot rounds may be held to fill any remaining vacancies. Only candidates who qualify MET 2025 are eligible to participate in the counselling.
