MET 2025 Tie-Breaking Criteria

If two or more candidates score the same in MET 2025, the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) will use a tie-breaking process to decide their rankings. The process follows these steps:

  • Candidates with higher marks in Mathematics will be allotted a higher rank. 
  • If the tie still exists, candidates with a higher score in Physics will get a higher rank.
  • If the tie still has not been broken, candidates with higher marks in Chemistry will get the higher rank.
  • If the tie still persists, candidates with higher marks in the 10th standard PCM will be allotted a higher rank.
  • Lastly, if the tie is still not broken, candidates who are older will get the higher rank.

MET Merit List 2025

MET 2025 merit list will be released online in the second week of June 2025 by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), after the declaration of results for both Phase 1 and Phase 2 exams. It will include the names and ranks of candidates eligible for admission to undergraduate programs offered by MAHE.
