In tandem with this results, NBE declares the result for the same day on which the cut off is published regarding the minimum for being eligible will be a passed candidate, for whom NEET PG merit list is published from NBEMS based on which NEET PG final results can also be seen from their portal website.

Candidates whose names will be mentioned in merit list will also be eligible for NEET PG counselling. Assuming the cut-offs of previous year, the percentiles are provided as 50 for general, and 40 for the Reserved category candidates; a merit list will be automatically generated for a 50 % of All-India Quota seats based upon the scores available in the score sheet of the NEET PG examination.

NEET PG 2025 Qualifying criteria

The eligibility criteria for participation in counselling towards allotment of PG seats conducted by designated counselling authority shall be in accordance with the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023 notified by the NMC with prior approval of MoHFW, Govt. of India.

NEET PG 2025 Merit List

The NEET PG merit list 2025 is expected to be released on the official website of NBEMS in August 2025. The merit list of AIQ for NEET PG 2025 will be uploaded in September 2025. The NEET PG 2025 merit list, which consists of 50% AIQ, can be downloaded from natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in. Those whose names feature on the AIQ merit list will be allowed to participate in the MCC NEET PG counseling for the academic year 2025, relating to 50% AIQ MD/MS/Post Graduate Diploma Courses, Post MBBS DNB, Direct 6 years DrNB Courses, and NBEMS Diploma Courses. The National Board of Examinations will declare the merit list for 50% AIQ seats. The candidate can download his/her NEET PG 2025 scorecard for All India 50% Quota in the month of September 2025.

1. All India 50% quota rank: This is the overall merit position of the candidate amongst all the candidates who have appeared in the NEET-PG 2024 and are eligible for All India 50% quota counselling and is valid only for All India 50% quota MD/MS/ PG Diploma Courses (2024-25 admission session).
2. All India 50% quota Category Rank: This is the overall merit position of the candidate in the category (OBC/SC/ST/EWS) as opted by the candidate in the NEET–PG 2024 amongst the candidates of the same category who are eligible for All India 50% quota counselling and is valid only for All India 50% quota MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses
3. Centres for issuing PWD certificates: 16 Centres have been identified for issuing PwD certificates to claim for 5% PwD reservation in medical courses in 50% All India Quota/ Central Universities. Refer Annexure to this bulletin for details of these centres.

NEET PG 2025 Tie-Breaking Rule

In cases where two or more candidates score the same, the merit ranking shall be established based on the following tiebreaker criteria, listed in descending order of priority:

• Candidates who have answered a greater number of questions correctly on the examination will be assigned a higher merit position in the NEET PG Exam.
• Candidates with fewer incorrect responses on the examination will be given a better merit position in the NEET PG Exam.
• Older candidates will get more favorable merit positions.
• A better merit position will be awarded to candidates who have achieved a higher overall percentage of marks across all MBBS Professional Examinations.
