As per the National Board of Examinations notice, the NEET PG 2025 exam is scheduled to take place on June 15, 2025. To be eligible for the National Postgraduate Medical Entrance, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria. According to NBE’s official announcement, final-year medical students and interns must fulfill their internship requirements before the commencement of the application process. NEET PG 2025 General Eligibility Criteria

NEET PG 2025 Detailed Eligibility Criteria 

NEET PG 2025 is the national entrance examination for students who wish to pursue postgraduate medical courses in India. Internship Certificate The internship completion certificate must clearly mention the start date and end date of the Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship (CRRI) program.
Eligibility Check Candidates must verify their own eligibility before applying. If found ineligible at any stage, their candidature will be canceled.
Reapplication for PG Course Some universities do not allow candidates who are already pursuing a PG course to apply for another PG program in their institution.

NEET PG 2025 Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Medical Graduates (FMG)

Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) who have completed their basic medical education abroad are eligible to meet additional eligibility criteria. Applicants under the FMG quota need to ensure that they have all the necessary documents before the NEET PG 2025 counseling process. They fall under the FMG category and need to meet the following conditions:

NEET PG 2025 Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals

Foreign nationals who plan to participate in NEET PG 2025 must fulfill eligibility criteria related to temporary registration and medical qualifications. Foreign nationals have to fulfill the following eligibility requirements to participate in the admission process for postgraduate medical programs in India. These are as follows:

Temporary Registration Foreign nationals must obtain temporary registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) before appearing for NEET PG 2025.
Registration Fee The NMC will charge a prescribed fee for temporary registration.

NEET PG 2025 State-Specific Eligibility Criteria 

Some states have additional eligibility criteria for candidates who have graduated with their MBBS degree from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu & Kashmir. Candidates from these states need to submit additional documents along with their application. Failure to provide these documents may result in disqualification from the counseling process. NEET PG 2025 Special Reservation Criteria

The reservation criteria for NEET PG 2025 specify the distribution of seats across different categories of candidates. The reservation system applies to the All India Quota, State Quota, Private Medical Colleges, and Armed Forces Medical Institutions. Each category follows different rules and regulations. The State/Union Territory (UT) reserves seats for its quota in all the Private Medical Colleges/Universities/Deemed Universities. Policies are different according to the regulations of the state, eligibility criteria, and merit list rules. Domicile is required by the candidates while applying for State Quota as governed by the regulations of the state.

Those who want to apply in AFMS institutions have to opt for the Institutions of Armed Medical Services option while filling up the NEET PG 2025 application form. The selection procedure for AFMS institutions is different from other government and private colleges.
