NEET PG 2025 Eligibility Criteria:  As per the information bulletin, only candidates with MBBS degree or a provisional MBBS Pass certificate will be considered eligible. To apply for the NEET PG 2025 examination, candidates must have an MBBS registration. Apart from that, Candidates must also fulfil a one-year mandatory internship requirement. The information bulletin also lists the requirements of a 50% AIQ quota.

The NEET PG exam will be held on 15th June 2025. Before appearing for the exam, candidates must review the eligibility criteria thoroughly.

NEET PG 2025 General Eligibility

NEET PG 2025 Detailed Eligibility Criteria

Every student who wishes to pursue MD/ MS/ PG Diploma courses, NBEMS Diploma Course, Post MBBS DNB courses, and Direct 6-year DNB courses are required to appear for the NEET PG examination. Reapplication for PG Course Some universities do not allow candidates who are already pursuing a PG course to apply for another PG program in their institution.
Validity of NEET PG 2025 Results The NEET PG results will remain valid only for the current academic session, 2025-26. 


NEET PG 2025 For Foreign Medical Graduates

As per the NEET PG guidelines, foreign medical graduates are students who have completed their MBBS degree abroad. It includes OCI (Overseas Citizens of India) and People of Indian Origin. Such candidates, before appearing for the examination, must pass the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination). Candidates who fall under this category must meet the following criteria for NEET PG 2025 Registration

Primary Medical Qualification Candidates must have completed their MBBS degree from a recognized foreign medical college.
FMGE Qualification (Screening Test) Candidates must have qualified the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).

Registration Requirement Foreign medical graduates must be registered with the National Medical Commission (NMC)/ Medical Council of India (MCI)/State Medical Council (SMC).

NEET PG 2025 for Foreign Nationals

Foreign nationals are those candidates who hold a citizenship of a country other than India and have completed their MBBS from a foreign medical institution. Foreign nationals can also pursue PG/ MD/ MS courses from Indian medical colleges upon fulfilling certain conditions. For instance, to participate in the admission process, these individuals have to obtain security clearance from the government of India. Basic Qualification Foreign nationals must possess basic medical qualification, recognised by the NMC.
Security Clearance Candidates must obtain security clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs, GoI (if applicable).
Duration of Registration NMC will grant temporary registration that will be valid only for the duration of the Post Graduate course.
NEET PG 2025 Application Fee Candidates must pay the applicable fee to receive temporary registration. 

NEET PG 2025 Eligibility Criteria for 50% AIQ Seats

Medical aspirants from J&K must carefully review the eligibility criteria. Here are the details:

  • According to NEET PG Eligibility Criteria, all the medical students belonging to Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible under 50% AIQ seats.
  • J&K candidates who are nominated only by the GOI (Government of India) under central pool seats, who are pursuing a medical degree from Jammu and Kashmir, are eligible. In this case, these students have to submit an affidavit that declares the same.

NEET PG 2025 Eligibility State-Specific Criteria

Some states have additional eligibility criteria for candidates who have graduated with their MBBS degree from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu & Kashmir.
