Confusion in Subject Requirements: Candidates willing to apply for B.Tech programs must have studied Physics and Mathematics in their Class 12th. On the other hand, Applicants applying for programs like Bioengineering must have studied Biology along with Physics and Chemistry. A common misconception among the students is that they think, without Mathematics they can still apply for engineering courses without fulfilling the additional subject requirement.
Confusion Regarding NIOS Eligibility: Students from the National Institute of Open Schooling often misunderstand the condition that they must have completed their 10th standard from regular schooling or vice versa. This specific eligibility criterion is often overlooked, leading to ineligibility.
