Assam University founded as a government university by the central government. The university is located 20 kilometers from Silchar city in Dargakona. AICTE, AIU, and UGC all recognize Assam University.
The CUET exam is used by Assam University to admit students to the majority of its undergraduate and graduate programs.
Assam University provide more than 102 courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and other levels. Depending on the course, admission to Assam University is determined by a combination of merit and entrance exams. B.Tech:
Assam University 2024 admission are open for BTech. A full-time Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and Bachelor of Technology (lateral) programme in three subjects is available at Assam University, Silchar. The programmes last four years and three years, respectively. This course is credit-based. Applying to Assam University, Silchar's B.Tech program requires at least a 10+2 diploma.

Eligibility Criteria
For admission to the B.Tech program at Assam University, individuals from Silchar must meet the following eligibility requirements:
Admission to 75% of B.Tech seats requires passing the 10+2 higher secondary exam.
must have taken the JEE Mains exam.
For admission to 25% of seats in B.Tech:
- At least 21 years old as of January 21st, the year of admission.
- For SC/ST/PwBD, there is a 5% relaxation in the qualifying exam.
- Has to have taken the entrance exam given by Assam University in Silchar.
- The minimum cumulative score required for a B. Tech in Agricultural Engineering is 45% in Science courses from the 10+2.
For admission to the B.Tech program at Assam University, student from Silchar must meet the following eligibility requirements:

MBA:
MBA admissions at Assam University for 2024 will open soon. University provide admission on first CAT scores, then GD and PI. On its official website, the university has made available the third merit list for the third round of MBA admissions. By August 1st, 2024, interested individuals must finish the admissions process and pay the required amount.
- The course consists of CBCS courses, a summer internship, and a dissertation.
- Having a bachelor's degree from an accredited university with at least 60% of the possible points is the prerequisite.
- Eligibility for admission is determined by the Written Skill Assessment Test (WSAT) or genuine CAT scores.
- The four semesters' worth of course credits are split into three pieces, each of which serves as the foundation for the course.
- The first segment covers required topics or themes. These courses serve as the cornerstone and essential subjects for business management. The term CBCS course refers to these papers or themes.
- The dissertation and summer internship comprise the second portion.
Summer Internship:
Following their second semester exam, students are required to begin an internship at any kind of organization. The internship will last for eight weeks, and upon successful completion, students will turn in an internship completion certificate.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates who wish to enroll in Assam University's MBA program need to meet the following requirements.
- 60% in the CAT plus graduation from any appropriate stream Or, graduation from any stream at any university founded or incorporated by an Indian state or federal legislature, or from a university created in accordance with section 3 of the UGC Act of 1956, with a minimum of 60% of the possible points.
- These applicants must pass the written exam administered by the MBA department in order to move on to the group discussion and personal interview stages.
- Candidates for the course may also be those who took part in the graduation examinations the previous year.
