Banaras Hindu University was established in 1916. BHU is a type of Central University which is spread across an area of 1,300 acres in Varanasi, India. The university is recognised by UGC and approved by AIU. It is also accredited by NAAC with an -˜A' Grade. BHU offers various courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and research degree level.
